Cards that say I gain a level, How many can I play at once. The reason I ask is that Say I am level 7. I kill the monster I go to level 8, then I play both cards Go to 10 and win. Or do I play both cards before I fight the monster making me level 9 then kill monster and win. Thanks I am very new to the game.

You can only gain the winning level by killing a monster, unless a card says otherwise.

You cannot use Go Up A Level cards (or GUAL's for short) at Level 9, neither can you sell items to buy a level.

However GUAL's can be played at any time and you can play any number of them legally in a single turn.

So in your example if you were level 7 facing a monster you could easily beat then you could play both GUAL's to get to get to Level 9 then kill it for the win.

If you killed the monster first you would only be able to play one of your GUAL's and not the other since you would be Level 9.
