Item enhancers Names

Yes another name question

For item enhances like shiny and ...of destiny
is the name of the item change such that if Gold Plated is played on an item the Gnome ability of all Non-one shot items get a +1

if it is the rat on a stick +1 plus gold plated is it now Gold Plated Rat on a stick +2
So now a +3 item if I am a know is it now +4?

I might be wrong on the bonus level of Gold Plated

Thank you ahead of time

We had similar situation last night. A Gnome player had Exorcise Wheel with "Shiny" enhancer on it and claimed that it gave him additional +1 bonus because of "N" in the enhancer name.

Does Gnome get additional +1 bonus from Item with G or N in the Item Enhancer on it?

The Gnome special ability specifies that the item has to begin with G or N. Since Shiny starts with an S, it wouldn't qualify.

A similar question was asked over in the 101 forum very recently, and while it hasn't gotten an official answer yet, my belief is that the enhancer changes the name. So, for example, a Gnome with a Gentleman's Club would get +1 for having it, but if he put Shiny on it, it would become the Shiny Gentleman's Club, which now starts with an S, so he would no longer get the +1 from the Gnome ability. However, if he had a Gentleman's Club Of Doom that would still count.

The Item enhancer cards say that the Item changes name, so I have no problem seeing that the name changes for the purposes of other card effects.

But how to decide is it Extra-Loud Gold-Plated Vorpal Blade or Gold-Plated Extra-Loud Vorpal Blade?
In first case Gnome will not get +1, in second he will.

I would imagine that goes in the order you put them on

Ordering isn't generally important in Munchkin, though, as it adds extra bookkeeping. I suppose you can do it via which card is on the bottom of the stack, but I'd just let the player decide which order the Enhancers are in when determining the name.

In this case, I think it is a little important. Unless we're told otherwise, I'd tack new names onto the front.

For instance, I have the Vorpal Blade. According to the text on the Item Enhancer it now becomes the Extra-Loud (whatever,) so it is now the Extra-Loud Vorpal Blade. That's it's name now. If I add Gold-Plated, and follow that card's text (it becomes the Gold-Plated whatever,) it's name is now the Gold-Plated Extra-Loud Vorpal Blade, giving an extra +1 to a Gnome. If he wants to make that Shiny, he'd have to follow the text on the Item Enhancer and lose the extra +1 because the Item now now starts with 'S.'

(I'm assuming most Item Enhancers have the bit about it becoming the [Item Enhancer] whatever, or the whatever [Item Enhancer.])

If all the Enhancers are added at the same time, I'd expect any Munchkin worth his Loot in Gold Pieces to add them in the most beneficial manner.

See, that just seems annoying to me. I don't know what the official stance would be, but for my part, I'd allow the Munchkin to decide what order the Enhancer names are applied if there is an option, no matter what order they were played in.
