Wandering monster you can't use bonuses against

What happens when someone throws in a Wandering Monster card with a monster that you can fight only using your level (sorry, I don't know english name for that particular card). Let's say you fight a monster of 18 strength and someone adds that one of 8 strength. Does the 'no bonuses' restriction apply for both monsters now? Winning that fight would obviously be nearly impossible. Also, it would be particularly nasty if the original monster was a Gazebo.

It is difficult to win such a combat, however you can use cards such as Annihilation, Bovine Intervention, and Friendly to deal with the monsters--since these aren't "fighting" cards.

As well as the Wizard's charm spell or Pollymorph Potion or Magic Lamp (assuming it's your turn, since Magic Lamp can't be played except on one's turn).

It is still a dangerous move against unprepared :) Thanks for answers.
Also, 'Ghoulfiends' sounds a whole lot funnier than its polish translation ('WampTIRzyce').

Like many monster names in Munchkin, "Ghoulfiends" is a pun.

Ghoul = Ghul

Fiend = Demon

But "ghoulfiend" is supposed to sound like "girlfriend" (dziewczyny)

Calling your girlfriend "ghoulfiend" is like saying "My girlfriend from hell" or something.

And yes, they are always like that.

Well, yes, I do know all that. That's why I said english version is better. 'Ghoulfiends' gave me a chuckle - that's clever, they are really like that indeed; 'WampTIRzyce' on the other hand - meh...
