Ye Saved Me Life! And Epic rules.
If someone is a level 18, and another player plays Ye saved me life, can they use it because the card states "play this card at any time except during combat. A player of yer choice has saver yer life! he goes up a level. He must give ye any item ye choose from those he has in play... but it must be an item ye can legally use at the moment."
So my question is, since the level 18 player can not go up another level unless they kill a monster, can they legally use the card? |

Why not? Just because the wee buckneer can't use the level...
don't mean yea can't give it to him. Pat |

You had said before that you can play GAUL's on level 9 players rather than give them out as charity, why would you not be able to do this?
Not arguing just wondering why this changed. Pat |

Well, that would have been a handy bit of information to have... in my book of changed rulings. (NOT meant to be sarcastic, just quoting an old movie...)
Thanks... Pat |

But just as when playing a Go Up a Level on yourself, the munchkin must legally be able to gain that level. You cannot play a Go Up a Level card, even one with a secondary effect, on a munchkin who has to kill a monster to gain that level. |
