Instant Wall

Player A is fighting a monster when Players B & C both Wander in other monsters, forcing Player A to run away. Player A plays Instant Wall and declares that it works against multiple monsters since the txt says, "Escape automatically from any fight" and all the monsters are in the fight together.

B & C maintain that Instant Wall will work on 1 of the 3 monsters, but not all of them.

Ruling please? :)

All Monsters. If a card says it will only work for one Monster, it will say so.

If you were fighting with help against a monster, and the monster is undefeatable. If you play Instant Wall, do you have to let the person helping you escape as well?

You don't get to choose who escapes. It's designed to let all the combatants escape. After some searching, it seems I did cover this before. I thought so, but sometimes my memory likes to play tricks on me. At least I know I'm being consistent. :-)

I'm pretty sure that there is a card that would lets you decide if the person that you are in combat with gets to escape as well, but since I don't have my deck in front of me I can't tell you which one it is. In that case, though, the card does specifically state that you get to decide if you both get to run away. AFAIK, that's the only such card in the original Munchkin series that works like that.

I fairly certain it is in cthulu (however its spelt!) although we have several expansions so it could be in an expansion of cthulu

If you sacrifice a minion/hireling/mook/sidekick/etc.. you can decide whether your helper gets an auto escape.

Baby Oil is the card you're thinking of, if I had a good guess.

I've had my rear in handed to me when I helped in a fight when the original player decided to be a complete as... er, very Munchkin-like and only use it on herself.

the card I'm thinking of is similar to the instant wall but actually specifies you can choose if both parties escape or get caught or one escapes and one caught. I know the card does exist but can't remember its name.

Okay, in the game I just played, my friend was at level 9 and we couldn't strengthen the monster enough to beat him so I tried playing instant wall on his monster.

I'm pretty sure I was wrong, since it says "allows escape", but I'm not sure. Can instant wall force someone else to run away instead of defeating the monster?
