Re: munchkins gual
Please tell me that Bug and Space Ranger from Clown Wars have had rewrites. They are by far the weakest race and class of any set in the history of Munchkin. Bug's ability is basically to get a better race card that is easier to do with the Go Up A Level discard rule (and only costs you one card instead of two). As for Space Ranger, being able to force another player to help can be a game winner, but compared to other forced help abilities, this one is too costly for early use and too absolute for end game battles. I like the idea of Bugs taking abilities from other races, but requiring a half breed to be able to keep using it's own abilities while benefiting from others is just too much work for a race that has no other abilities. I also feel that Space Rangers would be a more diverse class from the others if they could conscript other players followers instead of the players themselves. I realize that both of these changes would require almost complete rewrites for both of these cards, but I honestly feel nothing would be lost from introducing cards that players would have at least some sense of decision whether they wanted to choose them over another race or class. Yes I signed up for this forum just to make this request.

Re: munchkins gual
I have a doubt!
Some cards (as the Super Munchkin card for example) comes in more than one set. The GUAL set have one of these cards or a number equal to what was in the sum of all expansions. I do not know if I was clear. what I mean is: A particular letter X is repeated in all expansions of Munchkin. Having a total of 10 copies of it. The GUAL set will bring one or 10 of this card? |
Re: munchkins gual
Every Cheat! card from every standalone game and expansion will be replaced by the cards that come in Munchkin GUAL. The same can be said for every Super Munchkin card from every standalone game and expansion, as well as any other card which had a significant change that can't be easily overlooked (Cleric, Wizard, Halfling and Gnome are perfect examples). I'm fairly certain that almost every card will have the same art, but all will have the the correct backs and icons for the set that they came from. The cards for the original Munchkin and its expansions will be the familiar duo-tone parchment and brown, not full color. What you won't get is a new copy of every Monster Enhancer because the only difference is that the new ones say, "+X to Monster," instead of "+X to Level of Monster." You can either ignore "Level of" or cross it out with a permanent magic marker, so there's no need to have such cards in Munchkin GUAL, or it would be a huge set.

Re: munchkins gual
The text has slightly changed, to help people understand the purpose of the card. It's much clearer, really

So, the card itself isn't going away, we are replacing it with a brand new, better than ever, rewritten version of the card. |
