The "Find a Map" Card
I've just bought Munchkin 2 Unnatural Axe (1st edition, 9th printing, August 2009). And as I went through the cards I came across the "Find a Map" card.
I noticed it said Dungeons instead of Doors. Is this the fabled first printing errata? Where doors were called dungeons, or do they actually mean the dungeons from Demented Dungeons? |
Re: The "Find a Map" Card
As discussed in the FAQ, original Munchkin non-treasure cards were called Dungeon cards, since those are where you are in the game narrative, just like each other game had its own term. They are all called Doors.
You will never see a reference to the double-sized cards from M6:DD, outside of that expansion. |

But yes, the OP has apparently picked up a VERY old printing of Unnatural Axe. We haven't referred to the Door cards as "Dungeon" cards for quite a few years now. |

(I guess it matches my Kneepads deck of M1, and my 1-Handed Magic 8 Bomb deck of Impossible.... The joys of getting early printings!) I assumed that it must have meant the door cards, but it did get me thinking; in a Demented Dungeons game, would it be at all preferable to house-rule "Find a Map" as actually dealing with the Dungeon cards? I could see it being useful... and in some ways more useful than its actual use.... ...but this is perhaps not the thread to discuss such things. |
