Who the heck is Joseph, and why is he special? Seriously, the other car names sounded like car names. The Joseph Special sounded like an in-joke.

Joeseph = "Crazy Joe" Harshman who won a Destruction Derby by mounting a .50cal MG on his car and hence created autoduelling.

In later years he fell out of the media spotlight, and into soemthing of a decline and had a tragic death. The Joeseph Special was kind of a memorial to him.

All the above subject to memory glitches, as I dont have the books handy right now.

You know, Cybrludite, this is the most intriguingly named thread in the forums.
