Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Age of Monsters is recruiting!
2000 years ago in the history of Solaria. The insane mage Sakar opened and released his diabolical beastiary. Now the monsters roam free like natural beasts of this world. Young People from around the world have developed techniques and traditions of hunting and capturing these monsters and fighting them in tournaments to see who is the best and claim the title of champion. Do you have what it takes to capture monsters and train them to be the best? do you have what it takes to claim the title of champion? **small note this is not a game where normal real animals will be fighting only magical fanciful creatures are used.** |

As a reminder, Lost in dreams is recruiting! (as always)
A fairly normal person finds themselves naked and alone in strange worlds, taken by a seemingly uncontrollable jumper affect tied to dreams. The game focuses on social aspects, but does include action. The rate of play doesn't matter: these are one person campaigns, adapted for the weird schedules of PbP. If you are interested express so in the OCC thread! |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Worlds of Fire is currently approaching the end of an Act. Once this Act is completed we'll be in an interim stage where players can drop in and out. As such, I'm recruiting.
Check the OOC thread for character details, some basic backstory, and house rules. PM me with a basic character concept (check p B11 for some questions that you could try looking to answer) and some idea of skills and abilities, and I'll work from there. Familiarity with the story so far isn't vital. Familiarity with the background would be very useful. |

Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Reposting this because I've got another player who has gone intermittent. I've had a couple of people interested in joining the game, but nothing definite yet and I'll need a couple of definite ones at least.

Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
I'm interested in running a Modern Action/Spy type game and I'm trying to probe for interest.
The game will be set in current time and the characters will be a team of US CIA Paramilitary Officers that will be on a globe-hopping hunt for terrorists/bad guys. I'm shooting for a fairly realistic approach, but will be using some cinematic switches, especially for melee combat. I'll be pulling from Martial Arts, Tactical Shooting, and Technical Grappling, so you'll need to make sure you are familiar with those rulesets. Also, I'm planning on running just a single mission at first. If everyone has a good time and stays engaged, I'll turn it into a full-fledged campaign. Since most of us have jobs and lives outside of GURPS, I'm not going to be really strict on posting frequency. We can work out the details once we get the team solidified. My goal is to get 4 - 5 players for this game. More than that tends to be cumbersome to run. |

Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
My immodest proposal...
Bouncing of the Spheres An All-Wizard New-Rules Playtesting Debacle... er, Jamboree! As some of you may know, I have a set of original magic rules; you may have seen them used by two players in my Stranger Land campaign on this forum. These rules are almost complete, but are in dire need of balances and clarifications. Using them in the game was fun, but questions popped up constantly, and while this was good for playtesting, it's not so good for keeping a game running smoothly. So my ill-advised plan is to have a new and somewhat abstract game specifically to stress-test and improve these rules. I envision a team of 4 to 6 players, all wizards using these new rules, who will face absurdly contrived DF-style scenarios dropped upon them with only their magicks to rely on. The survivors then rest up (or resurrect) at the Generic Tavern in Nondescript Village before having another rudely contrived scenario dropped upon their heads. ("Oh, look – you've fallen into a fresh sinkhole in the middle of town and found the entrance to an ancient tomb!") I am hoping that this will be a fairly short and fast game, perhaps two or three scenarios depending on how well it goes. I hope to find 4-6 players willing to post relatively frequently (at least every 2 days or better?). Please PM me if you are interested. If I get enough notes, I will launch the OOC thread with more details. Thanks! The new rules can be found here All players should be either Elementalists or Thaumaturges (hopefully an even mix). We will be ignoring the Talents for this test, as well as the Realms; only the standard Spheres will be used. We will also be using the Tension Point system. |

I'm trying a radical game idea where we create our own superhero cinematic universe by creating simple movie pitches according to a template, picking the best one, offering production notes, finalizing the movie according to a template, rating the final product; and repeating with a new movie in the shared cinematic creative universe... will your movie idea become cannon and make 21stSentryPhox millions and millions of dollars? Or will your movie join the many super hero movies and bomb never to be heard of again until a reenvisioning of a retcon?

Would there be any interest in a star wars game where the roles were reversed?
Like the Empire is the Good guys and the Jedi are the bad? Or a star wars game were set back in the old republic where players can go dark side? (AKA Start light side but fall to the darkside) Or a game where Players Are straight up dark siders. |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Getting an evil campaign to work requires first answering the question of why should the party trust and work together.
Sounds like it has the potential for a very interesting game. I imagine playing a Dark Jedi with an atypical set of powers. I'm sure healing has the power to assist some very nasty actions. Evil is about how one uses abilities more than what those abilities are. |

It has a thread, but in case anyone is subscribed to this thread, I'm checking to see how much interest there would be in a game of Mafia on the forums. It's not a RPG (though the moderator generally posts flavour text for fun) but a game about a small group of players who know their teammates and a larger group of players who don't competing about whether they can conceal or discover the identities of the smaller group while the small group secretly kills people at night and everyone votes to lynch someone at day.

Hero Academy
50 something years ago people started to develop powers, at first it was scary, most did not know what to do and resorted to violence. it was during this time that a few of them rose up to protect others, we call them heroes. The world has changed a lot, more and more people are born with powers, having them manifest at around the age of 4. 20 years ago a group of heroes along with the government founded a school. Its goal was to educate gifted people with how to use their powers. most schools adopted a lot of the curriculum from the Hero Academy to help young kids understand what they can do, it is not until that are 13 that they can apply to go to the hero academy. You all applied! and got accepted! -------------------------------------------- checking to see if anyone is interested in starting a light supers game where you are all barely teenagers going to a superhero high school. The Idea is based on my new favorite Manga "Boku no Hero Academia" |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
4 sounds dangerously young to develop superhuman abilities. Any particular reason for that age?
(I technically drowned my brother when I was around 2. Thankfully, my momentarily distracted uncle knew CPR. But that's without powers.) |

Game Notes Genre: Star Wars Activities Planned: Jedi Stuff (diplomacy, investigation, maybe some fighting) Supplement materials: GURPS Basic Set will be the only requirement. Previous experience with Star Wars RPG materials will assist with providing equipment. GURPS Space, and Spaceships may be of some use. GURPS Powers will be of use for modifiers for equipment and abilities. Plot: There will be an ongoing plot (or several lines of plot in fact). Given the role that players will be taking on, they will not be expected to keep track of the major plotlines, but situational plot-awareness will be important (decisions will be made based on player/ character understanding of the situation). Power Level: Players have 150+50 points available. Additional points will be awarded at the end of missions based on degree of success and role playing. House Rules: See notes below. Style: This game will be held to a reasonably serious level. While there will be dark and gritty moments for the most part it will be aiming for a realistic level of seriousness; there will be moments of humour as well as dark ones. While players will be endangered this is intended to be ultimately survivable. Status: Open & Recruiting |

|
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
In Nomine: The Pacific War is looking for another player or few for its third act. The story can take one of two very different directions (or more, depending on your character concept and our creativity).
The plot as it stands: The cold war between angels and demons is rapidly heating up. There's been an open attack on the angelic tether at Pohang, South Korea. There have been skirmishes in and around Los Angeles, which was solidly a demon town but is now a Renegade town making it possible to slip it out of Hell's hands. The ethereals. especially the Loa and the Aesir have been very active. Somebody among all those players wants to jumpstart Armageddon, and it is up to the PCs to find out who, and how and whether to stop it. Demons won't work unless they're recently redeemed or essentially reformed Renegades, and then they aren't demons are they? Mortals/soldiers/sorcerers would tip the plot into that direction, and that's cool. Angels should preferably be from the militant or purity factions (Michael, Dominic, Laurence, Janus, David) though we've done really well with a Creation Malakite until the player's schedule got the best of him. We have a party full of mostly reasonable folk and it would be nice to have a little contrast there. Pace is PbP glacial, and Real Life Comes First. Still, the GM's sanity rests on a bit of escape once in awhile, and sanity is real life isn't it? |

Stranger Land Sequel
I'm about ready to re-start, re-boot adventures in the "Fourth Awakening" game world. This will be a loose sequel, of sorts, to the Stranger Land campaign that closed at the end of last year. Looking for 4-6 players who can post regularly (say, at least thrice weekly?). It will be a low-fantasy sandbox, self-directed campaign where the players make the goals. Ruleset is GURPS4 with unique magic system. The setting is here: World of the 4th Awakening Peoples & Critters (not much about monsters yet, but the racial templates are here) Any and all magic use will be from my own still-in-beta magic rules. Anyone playing a magic-wielder consents to being a playtester, for all intents & purposes: Magic of the Spheres Characters from the original Stranger Land will be more than welcome, although the character generation rules have been modified, so old characters may have to be, erm, re-molded a bit. Please PM me with your interest and ideas; if I get enough response, I will post an OOC thread under the title: "Merced Adventures." |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Okay then; not much interest in swords & sorcery this summer... how about this...
A Space Opera-ish Sandboxy game. By Space Opera, I don't mean anything tongue-in-cheek, although neither is it deathly serious. The world I have created for this is something more like Traveller, but with a Flash Gordon Tech Level. A little super-science, maybe a touch of dieselpunk, but no magic, no psionics, no cybernetics. It may be robots and ray-guns and Gee-Whiz science, but the roleplay can be as serious (or not) as you wish. The truth is, I have spent some time whittling away at the world-crafting on this one, but have next to no actual experience playing it. There are great blank spots and gray areas in it, and it will remain that way until I can get some players in there who will liven it up, ask the awkward questions, and help the world to build a history and a character of its own. So what I am looking for is 4-6 adventurous players who are willing to be proactive in exploring this galaxy and having some fun. For the first go, all characters will be human (aliens are a minority anyway), posting rate should be relatively frequent (at least thrice weekly, I think), but the scope of the adventures will be up to you. Let me know the kind of things you might like. Gameworld info is here: Trade League of the Olympus Cluster I propose to use a game rules set I call FfURPS... FreeformGURPS. :) Basically all that means is that I use GURPS4 , but adjudicate most actions based on the player's choices and their character's skill levels. Dice-rolling will be minimal, except when things get really crunchy, as in avoiding that careening asteroid or a gunfight or such. The setting is designed around the idea of low-combat campaigns (free trade, investigation, etc.), but there are infinite possibilities around the fringes of patrolled space for more dangerous stuff. Chime in on what sort of adventures you would prefer. Please PM me with your interest. If I get enough response, I will launch an OOC thread under the title "Trade League Space." |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Well, I just finished The Martian and the two biggest flaws were it was too short (24 hours and that's not even taking it seriously), and it was too damn short (Only 500 extra sols? Even Gilligan stuck around for a few years!). Also, let's throw in some more survivors. Like, maybe a lot more....
So here's the plan: put GURPS: Mars to work and build a hard-science campaign. PCs would be put in command of a serious and determined, but probably underfunded, attempt to get to Mars, and possibly back. To fill out the standard questions... Genre: Hard Science Adventures: Probably varied. Will involve player inventiveness (Well, we can take the liquid helium from the medbay and use it to replace some lost atmospheric nitrogen, but we'll need to dump the magnets into space on the shaded side of the ship to keep them cool...) but just as much interest might come from player interactions (He's getting into the reactor core! Shoot him before he tries his insane plan and kills us all!). Supplemental Rules: As GM, I tend to keep things rules-light in person, but with time to reference everything, I intend to run important events by RAW. GURPS:Mars will be essential, I'm sure, but that's on my end. Plot: Situation-based. I'm giving you guys the environment, but it's up to the PCs to handle it. Power Level: Apollo-era astronauts are what, 250 pts? Modern astronauts can specialize more, so they cost less... and you guys won't necessarily start out in the best of circumstances. Point is, you'll start play fairly middling CP totals, and there will be only soft caps on point totals, especially for characters who are presumably more experienced. House Rules: Nothing in particular. Let's keep it simple. Number of players is actually very flexible. The mission... will be large. Who's interested? |

I am wondering if there would any interest in a free form Dark force user game? It would probably be free form in that, the players pursue what they want with an over arching plot. Players would probably start off as light side jedi and get seduced becoming dark side force users. it probably would take place in between the Swtor and episode 1 time line so we can avoid the canon issues. |

"Weyland-Yutani "Building Better Worlds" Recently Weyland-Yutani has taken Majority Share control over SEEGSON. With this acquisition Weyland has taken ownership of 2 stations. The first is Sevastopol station that is in orbit of KG347. Along side this Weyland also acquired New Leningrad, the sister station of Sevastapol. New Leningrad is on the outskirts of the Zeta Reticuli sector on the border of the Zeta Reticuli and the Frontier. It was abandoned about 3 years ago by Seegson and represents a significant dollar investment to Weyland. On board the station was an experimental Computer AI named Ares. A counter part to the Apollo model on Sevastapol. The Ares unit worked wondrously and after it is initial test period it was shut down. All staff was evacuated and the station was set in lock down. Approximately 3 weeks ago a collision alarm went off on New Leningrad. Something has crashed into the docking ports of the station and as such Weyland is sending out an advanced investigation team to find out what has happened to New Leningrad. No one was supposed to know about the station as all the staff was legal bound not to speak of their work on the station. Almost all work on board the station was highly classified and as such was keep out of the public light. This team will leave a full 3 years ahead of any salvage crew to investigate and access all damage to the station. They will be accompanied by a division of Colonial Marines to act as security and police in case the station has fallen under pirate control." |

Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Hello Folks,
After seeing a few people indicate that they're looking for online games and the like, I've finally decided to take the plunge and offer a three slot game set in HARN WORLD. Often times, the game world map for the world of HARN is available for free at RPGNOW.COM, but experience with the Harn World is not necessary to play in this campaign. Today's date is 5/28/2017. Time is 6:02 Eastern Standard time (my time zone). characters: Preferred player characters would be Knights - whether Household knights (status 2) or Landed Knights (Status 3). If you'd prefer to play a Yeoman or a freeman warrior, or such, that's fine. Mages in HARN's kingdom of Kaldor, are usually a rare thing, and anyone who gets a reputation of practicing magic openly will usually become VERY unpopular very quickly. Mages who practice black magic will be tried by a tribunal of the Religious courts (there being three courts in the Kingdom of Kaldor) or will be quietly executed by the White Hand in an effort to avoid mages stirring up an anti-mage hysteria. It is TOUGH being a mage in Harn! Not for the faint of heart... If I get three players who can agree to a given time slot, game play will be for four hours, twice a month, more if the players agree ahead of time, but every two weeks sounds about right for now. If/when I get two players, the game will kick into gear. If I get three, then the positions will close. If the players agree, and the powers that be agree, I might start posting the logs in the play by post area, but that's not a given (Logs would be sanitized to keep hidden rolls hidden, hidden whispers hidden, etc). Be prepared for a GRITTY style campaign instead of an over the top campaign. Wounds that get infected may turn lethal. Spoiled food might be served at poor inns, etc. In short? Expect a medieval style setting. Prohibited: Any innate damage capabilities, general powers (PSIONICS included), Total Disease Resistance, etc. As always, talk with the GM when setting up your character. All players will be provided with a PDF of their characters via email, and will have their characters created via GURPS CHARACTER ASSISTANT (makes it easier to import characters into the FG2 interface). Hal Also, be aware, that no one exists in a vacuum. If you have a character, a family will be generated (Mother, Father, Siblings, Aunts, Uncles, etc) depending on the background. While this campaign will not dwell on adult themes overly much (fade to black is the GM's friend!), the GM is an Adult, and will be looking for adult players. Do not expect to use GURPS pricing for articles and goods after play starts. The coinage system of HARN is already set, and HARN MANOR will be used to help run villages (for landed Knights) or to generate villages that the players may travel to or through. Be prepared to buy plenty of perfume and other such odor masking commodities when going through Tashal or any of the other Cities of Harn. Also, only a fool rides or walks close to building walls - for upper story people tend to dump their "night soil" pots over the balconies... ADDENDA: I've had one person approach me for a slot thus far, so that leaves two more slots available. |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Hey folks. I've been running a Zombie Apoc game here on the forums for my local gaming group. You can find the IC thread here and the OOC thread here.
Recently, one of the players has had to drop due to lack of available time, so I have an open slot. Unfortunately, I need the new player to take over an existing character. Some of the character's backstory has already been established and is a critical part of the game, so it really needs to stay "as is". Some other things are a little more malleable. The character in question is Frank Dillinger, an ex con who grew up in a foster home with the other PCs. You'll have some flexibility with Frank's backstory (but not too much), and I'll let you build him the way you want from the template options posted below. Template Details: Ex Con/Former Criminal Attributes: ST 11 [10]; DX 12 [40]; IQ 12 [40]; HT 11 [10]. Secondary Characteristics: Damage 1d-1/1d+2; BL 29 lbs.; HP 11 [0]; Will 12 [0]; Per 12 [0]; FP 11 [0]; Basic Speed: 5.75 [0]; Basic Move 5 [0]. Advantages: 30 points chosen from among Danger Sense [15], Daredevil [15], Flexibility or Double-Jointed [5 or 15], High Manual Dexterity 1-4 [5/level], Night Vision [1/level], Perfect Balance [15], or Smooth Operator [15/level]. Disadvantages: Greed [-15*], Sense of Duty (Family) [-5] • A further -20 points chosen from among Addiction [Varies], Callous [-5], Code of Honor (Pirate’s or “Stays Bought”) [-5], Compulsive Lying [-15], Cowardice [-10], Kleptomania [-15], Laziness [-10], Light Sleeper [-5], Overconfidence [-5], Selfish [-5], or Trickster [-15]. Primary Skills: Streetwise (A) IQ+3 [12] • Select one 30 point package below relevant to your criminal pursuit, such as: Burglar: Climbing (A) DX [2]; Forced Entry (E)DX+2 [4]; Lockpicking (A) IQ+3 [12]; Observation (A) Per+1 [4], Traps (A) IQ+1 [8]. Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Would anyone be interested in a "combat only" back and forth, more roll-playing than role-playing, where simple pregenerated templates are opposed together for testing out combat rules?
For example at http://www.themook.net/rpg/examples/ there are a variety of "Arthur Green" and "Zach Red" pregens already statted out (if Mook doesn't mind), or we could use one of the NPC examples in the books, and basically just duke it out until someone goes down. I'm hoping something like this would be okay for a play-by-post format. I wouldn't be awarding character points or anything, it's just for the fun of testing out techniques, perhaps raising questions with different encounters, throwing in new rules from new books as they occur, etc. If anyone's interested I could call it "A Challenger Appears" and it would be 1 on 1 initially, perhaps with the survivor being attacked by any new arrivals, in an unending battle where people are just teleported in. |

Yes, I'm very much interested in this sort of play at the moment. I've got a very similar game on rpol. You are welcome to join us there, or I'm willing to join a similar game here. I'm loathe to pull traffic away from this poor little forum, but its just such a great match. |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Neat, I've signed up for RPOL and sent a request to join, but I've started a thread here for now http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread...10#post2218410 starts 1 on 1 and each poster plays 1 char but if a 3rd player (or more) wants to join they can.
So there's some warning, I think I'll play it like Super Smash Brothers where the challenger appears on a floating cloud with a 3 second countdown, so there is some chance to respond. I would say we can make perception checks each second to notice them there, otherwise they get a surprise attack. "One Foe" (+1 to defense against one guy, penalty to perceives others) is an option I'll begin with. Fantasy Grounds looks nice but I'd only use free virtual tabletop right now if I were to do live schedule gaming. |

Show a passing interest in roleplaying and I'll gladly add you. Mention this space and I'll add you without question. |

The type of setting I'm going to be running is called a 'Points of Light' Campaign. Where the overall idea is that the the game world is populated by a small number of intelligent races. A handful of generations before war plagues and other agents of mass death have laid low the populations of kingdoms and empires. So they are a mere small fraction of what they use to be. Thus having left behind numerous ruins across the face of the world, and so on. But one of the key conceits about this world is simply this: Civilized folk live in small, isolated "points of light" scattered across a big, dark, dangerous world. Most of the world is monster-haunted wilderness. The centers of civilization are few and far between, and the world isn't carved up between nation-states that jealously enforce their borders. A few difficult and dangerous roads tenuously link neighboring cities together, but if someone stray from them they will quickly find themselves immersed in goblin-infested forests, haunted barrowfields, desolate hills and marshes, and monster-hunted badlands. Anything could be waiting down that old overgrown dwarf-built road: a den of ogre marauders, a forgotten tower where a lamia awaits careless travelers, a troll's cave, a lonely human village under the sway of a demonic cult, or a black wood where shadows and ghosts thirst for the blood of the living. Given the perilous nature of the world around the small islands of civilization, many adventures revolve around venturing into the wild lands. For example: Roads are often closed by bandits, marauders such as goblins or orcs, or hungry monsters such as griffons or dragons. The simple mission of driving off whomever or whatever is preying on unfortunate travelers is how many young heroes begin their careers. Since towns and villages do not stay in close contact, it's easy for all sorts of evils to befall a settlement without anyone noticing for a long time. A village might be terrorized by a pack of werewolves or enslaved by an evil wizard, and no one else would know until adventurers stumbled into the situation. Many small settlements and strongholds are founded, flourish for a time, and then fall into darkness. The wild lands are filled with forgotten towers, abandoned towns, haunted castles, and ruined temples. Even people living only a few miles away from such places might know them only by rumor and legend. The common folk of the world look upon the wild lands with dread. Few people are widely traveled—even the most ambitious merchant is careful to stick to better-known roads. The lands between towns or homesteads are wide and empty. It might be safe enough within a day's ride of a city or an hour's walk of a village, but if someone go beyond that, they are taking their own life into their hands. People are scared of what might be waiting in the old forest or beyond the barren hills at the far end of the valley, because whatever is out there is most likely hungry and hostile. Striking off into untraveled lands is something only heroes and adventurers do. Another implication of this basic conceit of the world is that there is very little in the way of authority to deal with raiders and marauders, outbreaks of demon worship, rampaging monsters, deadly hauntings, or similar local problems. Settlements afflicted by troubles can only hope for a band of heroes to arrive and set things right. If there is a kingdom beyond the town's walls, it's still largely covered by unexplored forest and desolate hills where evil folk gather. The king's soldiers might do a passable job of keeping the lands within a few miles of his castle free of monsters and bandits, but most of the realm's outlying towns and villages are on their own. In such a world, adventurers are aberrant. Commoners view them as brave at best, and insane at worst. But such a world is rife with the possibility for adventure, and no true hero will ever lack for a villain to vanquish or a quest to pursue. The PCs will have grown up together in a settlement that is one of those few 'Points of Light'. |

Which brings up another point -- if you aren't soliciting for a play-by-post game to be run in this forum, you're misusing this thread. If you ARE looking to play in this forum, then please provide a whole lot more information about your game, or you're going to continue to shout into the void. |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
In about two weeks, it's possible that I'll be looking to set up an open-ended GURPS Dungeon Fantasy campaign.
The thing is, the point of running the game is to have a game for my niece, a young adult just starting university, and her mother, who has no great love of RPGs, but likes to play with her daughter (and vice versa). So if I go ahead, the set-up will be determined by what they want to do. They'll also get first pick of character classes and niches. That does not mean that I'll be playing favorites towards their characters in the game. You don't have to worry about them being the GM's pet PCs. But it does mean that the parameters of the game will be set by them. Party morality will be important to keep an eye on. I expect them to want to play characters who are fundamentally decent rogues (not the character class!). That is to say, they'll happily rob an inn, but wouldn't murder the guests in their sleep, and may or may not decide to help out a stranger in trouble. If that's what they decide to go for, other PCs will need to be able to fit in with such characters. Evil PCs are right out. There will also be no demonologist or necromancer PCs. The game may or may not happen. I thought my niece had given up on the idea, but then she mentioned it again the other day. The are to be no sexual situations. Language is to be PG. If you are interested or have questions, post to the thread at https://forum.rpg.net/index.php?thre...mpaign.845353/ or post to my RPGnet Inbox. My inbox here is too full and I need to clear it! |

Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Dreadstormers is looking for more players: we lost one and we could accept up to two more after that.
We are in a great point of the story to add more dreadstormers: the team has infiltrated the ship, but they haven't met up yet. |
Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
I'm thinking of GM-ing a "low level" Dungeon Fantasy campaign. Playing by post on this forum, I can roll dice for you, I will make the IC and OOC threads once we recruit enough players. PM me (with your character best if possible) about it if you are interested.
Character Creation: 125-point delvers (-50 in Disadvantages limit, 5 quirks, don't have to use profession templates). This campaign will be using the DFRPG ruleset, for the most part. You can use GURPS books if you like, but make sure you double-check it with me first. A little rules change; as per Powers page 108, certain abilities like Luck and Serendipity that operate on real time will instead use game-time cooldowns. For Luck advantage, each use per real-time hour instead equals uses per in-game day (i.e. Ridiculous Luck has six uses per day). Advantages that have uses per session are uses per in-game week instead. Any questions? |

Re: Meta: LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
Hey! I will launch a STAR WARS inspired campaign for PBP, powered by GURPS.
The story will take place some years (50+) after the newest trilogy, in a galaxy far, far away. You can take any alignment you want; just remember you will play as a team. The campaign starts on Wednesday, January 19th 2021. Those interested in joining, please leave a message here in this thread. Main GURPS books:
*Force users must follow the guidelines for the sorcerer template in GURPS pyramid 3-082, magical creations. If you want to be force sensitive, you must spend at least spend 60 CP: Sorcerous Empowerment 2 [30], plus anything else. For the purpose of creation, force powers are limited to 170 CP. Advantages that work per session or session time will work under a post/player basis:
