The only character taken so far is Buster Kincard.

I plan to do at least one turn a week but as I said before, this may slow down during the holiday season.

BWA-HA-ha-ha-ha-ha! GM permitting, I shall volunteer for Dr. Chaotica, that Scourge of All Which is Right and Good, thought to have been erased from the universe forever by the Dashing Captain Proton and his allies. ... Or has he??????

(If you'd rather have me in an active role at the start, I'm also willing to do Satan's Robot, the Doubtfully Redeemed Mechanical Man. But since life is a little busy right now, I thought a delayed entrance might be more fair to the rest of the players.)

Might I observe that between finals and the Holidays, you may have fewer then normal respondents to your call. So don't despair.

Yes, I'm beginning to think the same thing. I thought there would be a fight over who plays Captain Proton but no. How can we play The Adventures of Captain Proton without Captain Proton? That would be The Adventures of Everyone but Captain Proton. :)

I guess I'll wait a few weeks to see if things pick up.

That was why I didn't ask for Proton first off. I didn't want to get it simply by dint of being first. I can play background too.

As it happens, I HAVE seen '30's B Serial. Buck Rogers and the Mind Control Helmets. Flash Gordon Saving the Clay People, The Bird People, The Beast Men. The cool cloaks which act like parachutes. The Whzzt! Pop! Sparkler Rocket Ships. And the brass knuckle pistols that you have to shoot by holding your hand near your ear.

Yup! Been there. Never done the Cheesy Dialouge much. I can give that a shot though.

Cheers.

Don't forget those wonderous Jet pack on a leather jacket flyboys from Republic pictures. Or the much better than the title sounded 50s TV show Rocky Jones: Space Ranger.

There's a thread on retro-futurism over at RPGnet that has a lot of resources and reading material, if you're interested. They mention a whole bunch of space-campy items.
