If you're interested, I'm 99% sure this concept of a troll is taken directly from Poul Anderson's Three Hearts and Three Lions, an outstanding fantasy novel from (according to Amazon) 1961.

For a D&D troll, I would give a bonus to DX, perhaps as high as +2.
