Re: GURPS Spaceships Design Spreadsheet
Is the Spread Armor option cannon or one of your add-ons?
And I found a way to remove entries, just select the cell you wish to clear and hit delete, a pop up will appear and simply hit enter to accept to default options |

That said, there is still a Reset Ship button to reset everything at once and the next version of the sheet will still allow more options for when you Load or Reset. |
Re: GURPS Spaceships Design Spreadsheet
But spread armor gets you better protection

Re: GURPS Spaceships Design Spreadsheet
Spreading a Light Alloy over a SM+15 ship gives you 34/33/33, while placing a Metallic Laminate SM+14 will get you 33/33/33. Spreading that Metallic Laminate will get to 50/50/50

I have no idea where you're getting 33/33/33. I can think of a couple ways you might get it, but you're being far from clear. |
Re: GURPS Spaceships Design Spreadsheet
I'm getting 33/33/33 when I put a SM+14 Metallic Laminate armor system on a SM+15 ship, I'd guess that the file I've got is dividing the smaller dDR by 3, not the bigger one.
Which is Legal? Scratch that, data entry error, I'd clicked on Metallic Laminate got for some reason Light Alloy ended up being enter |
Re: GURPS Spaceships Design Spreadsheet
It should be dividing the SM+15 dDR by 3, yielding dDR 50 for Smaller SM Metallic Laminate. Testing in both RC11 in Excel and the currently available RC9 in OpenOffice this is exactly what I'm getting. I've no idea why it would possibly show up as dDR 33.
