[Spaceships] Maintenance
 
According to the Damage Control rules on GURPS Spaceships p.64. "A jury-rigged system is fixed, but counts as two systems for the purpose of maintenance until fully repaired."

I can't make out what effect that has.

Well, according to "REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE" on page 46 of spaceship the spacers spend their time with mainenance, thus apparently you would need double the crew for that module...

Only other mentions of maintenance is under refueling powerplants and the cheaper ships in Spacehips 2. (Normal ships apparently never need any new parts)

If it requires workspaces (which determines how many people are needed to maintain it) it requires twice as many. There would be no significant effect in rules terms if under SM +10 (unless engine room).
