Pilot! for Tales of the Solar Patrol
I want to build a few wildcard skills for Tales of the Solar Patrol, and I'm wondering what skills are appropriate for Pilot!.
Pilot! should be DX-based. Obviously, every Piloting specialty. How about Navigation, based on IQ? What about Gunner (Beams)? Electronics Operation (Sensors)? Any other likely skills? Or is the sheer number of Piloting skills sufficient? |

Wildcard skills are "anything that's appropriate" that fit the genre.
At a minimum, I'd allow Piloting (all applicable), Navigation (Air, Space, Hyperspace), Gunner, Artillery (Guided Missile), and ElecOps (Sensors, EW). |

4 skills (preferably Hard ones) which do not default between each other seem to be a bare minimum. So it's pretty safe to allow it, and then some more. ;)

Already in Supers p.37. Pilot! (DX). Replaces Piloting (all specializations). In addition, it permits an IQ-based roll for Shiphandling (Airship, Spaceship, or Starship). Use it for combat rolls to operate any weapons system installed in an air or space vehicle, or for attack maneuvers with the vehicle itself. It probably should have been included with Tales. |
