[Spaceships] Spaceship designs on the forums

Please alert me (eg. by posting to this thread) if you post a ship design, or know of a ship design that I have overlooked. I will add it to the index in this post. If there are GURPS Spaceships ship designs elsewhere on the 'Net, I'd like to add those, too.

Only the third ship has a link that takes you to that ship. I assume you meant to do this for the first two as well?

All in good time.

Personally, I think it would be great if we could get a separate forum just for the G:Spaceship line. That would make searching waaaaaay easier. But I haven't a clue who to pester to make that happen.

I'd prefer a Space + Spaceships + Ultra-Tech + Bio-Tech + GURPS Traveller + Transhuman Space GURPS Science Fiction forum. Alongside a corresponding Fantasy + Dungeon Fantasy + Magic + Thaumatology + Banestorm &c GURPS Fantasy forum.

But either way, it isn't going to happen. Kromm is the guy who has to do the work of monitoring the forums for 4e rules questions, and he wants to be able to do all his work in one forum. The powers that be have spoken. No more split-off GURPS forums.

Foo. If only there were a Usenet-style interface, I might actually spend more time reading the forums. Present spate of participation not included, since it happens to fall into a boring spell at work; when it's over, I'll stop reading.

Webforum software is one of those things that went through a renaissance in the first Dot-Com boom, and those morons who wrote it all declared, "Hey, look! I invented the wheel! Isn't is awesome! My wheel is made of stone, has an axle made of a tree branch, and is lubricated with spit! It is the epitome of wheel building." without having considered that Usenet has been around for 20 years and manages to be like carbon-fibre wheel rims with tubeless kevlar-reinforced vulcanized rubber tires and lubricated with molybdenum sulfide paste.

I suggest that you bring this up in the Feedback and Help forum, where it might be on topic. It is off topic for this thread and forum, besides which there is absolutely no point in arguing with me.

http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=39155 <-- so far, just the Runabout. I know someone else did the TOS/TAS Enterprise at one point in a related thread.

Both of those are two-stage designs. The first description does not make this clear, and the second implies that the design has more than two stages. Please look into updating those descriptions at some point.

You might also want to include the suggestion that the TL8 design is potentially underpowered (at 8.61 mps), and that it is meant to lift an upper stage 3 size classes smaller (i.e. SM+5 for an SM+8 system).

Yes, I dislike WWW-based discussion fora intensely. NNTP is infinitely better; faster, more elegant, and a lot easier to keep track of everything.
