I just saw Esoteric Medicine skill is lacking in the Suitable Skills table (DF 1, p. 16-18). Is this a errata or a conscious decision for some reason?

Esoteric Medicine is explicitly not available to just anyone. Only someone with Druidic powers can have EM (Druidic) and only someone with Holy powers can have EM (Clerical). So it's definitely not a skill generally suited for any DF character, any more than Breaking Blow is.
