Increasing physical traits of possessed victims

Hi,

I'm still working on converting the Spirit Form adv. from 3e. One of the abilities of the form is adding 1/5 of the ST of the possessing spirit to the ST of the victim of possession. For example, a ST 10 spirit possesses a ST 10 victim and the victim's body's ST increases to 12 for as long as the spirit's in there. How would you work that? My thought:

ST +1 (Adds to victim's ST, +0%; Only While Using Possession, -10%) [9]

Thoughts?
Thanks,
Jerander.

Maybe a ST bonus as an Affliction:Advantage, linked to Possession.

I thought your first line of reasoning made sense:
Quote:

Possession (Spiritual) means the possessing entity gains the victim's physical triats, correct? How about an attribute bonus with (Only While Possessing, -10%)?
So for a ST 10; DX 10; HT 10; spirit that would be: ST +2 (Only While Possessing, -10%) [18]; DX +1 (OWP, -10%) [18]; HT +1 (OWP, -10%) [9]. Total [45]

That makes no sense, that gives YOU a ST bonus, but not the victim.

Another player has a posessing entity in a game I'm in. He has an Affliction (Aura, always on, 1 hr Onset Time (Requires exposure), Accessability: only when possessing) that grants Spines, Regeneration, Claws, some DR IIRC, and some ST.

Yes and?

You gain your new host's ST, DX, and HT (and secondary characteristics calculated from these scores), as well as his physical advantages and disadvantages.
YOU get the victims stats and then YOU boost them a little further. Instead of getting the victims stats, you get the victims stats +x.

No. You get the victims physical stats. Meanwhile, YOUR physical stats have gone up two points, having zero impact on the victim.

No way having a limitation changes the way your stats impact the victim.

Affliction Morph. Template with ST bonus.

With regular possession you don’t have separate physical stats; you only have whatever your host has. There are no separate stats to receive the boost.

That would rather be my point.

It still doesn't magically change Posession so that your attributes affect the victims attributes.

If you have ST 12 all the time, it doesn't give your victim a +2 ST. Why on earth would limiting it change this?

I strongly agree that you can't gain an enhancement on something by limiting it and paying less points for it.

Affliction doesn't seem appropriate though, especially since it's only a minor Cosmic enhancement.

I'd price it as:
ST +2 (Cosmic, Only Puppets During Possession, +50%) [30]
