Actually, we're not ;-). Look up Slippery, on p. B85.

I thought the soap wrestling was supposed to be in Cabaret Chicks on Ice. It's been moved :(.

Well, if it did show up in DF 3, that would be sooner... silver lining, etc. ;)

It does seem like a strange place for it to end up, though *confuzzled*

If you want to mimic the whole "killing-this-monster-gives-you-this-many-points" mechanic, I'd suggest taking the enemy's character points (wing it), dividing them by 100 or 1000, and hand that amount over to the player when you deem appropriate.

Make sure to keep track of the decimals; squashing enough 0.01-point rats will eventually get you the same amount as slaying one 2.5-point crushroom.

That will break down when you have a monster with a -100 point racial template, but 105 points in combat worthy killing power. He'd be a 5 point monster. Setting up what you are talking about formally would take some effort to weed out the standard skills and advantages and leave just the DF relevant skills and advantages, but is doable.

Anybody who thinks monsters will have point values in the DF series is smoking something interesting. :) That's way too much math for the goal of the series . . . and making GMs do math in play after each battle is even more evil. My guidelines in DF 3 aren't trivial but they are fast. Fast is good.

I think CPs in DF 3 can be awarded by completing objectives (surviving the dungeon), using skills (disable traps), cancelling curses, killing some specific boss monster...

I'm not very sure, but it is posible DF CPs are going to be related with objectives in the dungeon, related to the skills and abilities of your character.

Anyway I'm only guessing.

This really doesn't work, because points are a horrible way to determine how combat effective something is.

I just saw GURPS News, and seemingly we have a name for DF 3: The Next Level:

"(...) For instance, Creatures of the Night 3 and Dungeon Fantasy 3: The Next Level are both very close to completion."

I'm sure it will be another great book, completing the first two DF books.

What happened to the pithy single-word titles?
