Ditto. But I was messing with this a few days ago and you (Bruno) may have fixed the problem.
Also, not all the skill-packages that your file offered choices on (the "ranged weapon" packages, and so on) appeared on the character. Possibly I was doing something wrong.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. You only get one skill, not all six of them - you have to choose which one.

Were they not all showing up in the selector for you to choose between them?

That's a flaw of the engine. The template comes with Power Investiture 3, and gives you the option of upgrading to 4 or 5 (for 10 or 20 points respectively).

However, GCA currently can't handle the concept of "It's already on my character sheet, I just want to add extra levels" and it won't allow duplicate items either. So basically I can't figure out a way of supporting that option at this time. It's in the list as a place holder for when GCA gets upgraded.

I can comment it out if people find it too confusing.

More information please. I would like the exact steps you're going through at what happens when it fails (an error message, doesn't respond, etc)

I think you may have to go with "Extra Power Investiture" or something, instead.

This is actually a very complex issue. There's currently no way to know if an existing trait is one that came from part of a template (maybe not this one), and therefore should not be removed or reduced in level, or if the trait was picked by the player elsewhen and therefore could be changed freely in the Select window.

Without knowing a trait's provenance, it's imprudent to provide the character with that trait in the Select window, because doing so would impact what and how they're allowed to choose from other items, and what and how the existing trait should be counted.

And, if an existing trait is allowed to be included, that then requires a way to track whether the trait is supposed to be allowed at the set levels, counted fully for it's value, or somehow limited to allowing only specified levels, and counting only the value for those levels.

That's not a bad idea. Is there any way to limit the *combined* levels of EPI with PI so the combination does not exceed 6?

EDIT: aaaand I just realized the Extra Power Investiture won't count for spell prerequisites.

ARG. stupid spells!

Expect another update tonight or tomorrow morning when I figure that one out.

You probably know this better than I do but isn't that the same problem that Magery already has? In the basic files it seems to be solved by having various "Mageries" as stats (found under the "*Magery Prerequisite Work-around Stats" comment). I don't know about the maxscore(1000000) though... :)

Exactly the same issue, and I'm implementing the same solution. The thing that's making me go AAAAA mostly is the thought of updated all the spells, AGAIN, with the new prerequisite system...

Well, well, well. It was just not responding (that is, it would not move them to the right windows as if I already had them. Except, I didn't have them).

Before upfrading to 1.07 I tried it again and what?... I could not reproduce the problem. So forget I ever reported that problem and blame it on the operator (me)!!!
