Babylon 5

I'm working on a home-brew Babylon 5 setting for GURPS 3rd Edition. Is there anyone out there who has any experience with this setting. I'd love some help. Building a Centauri Ranger is a b***h.

I wouldn't worry about doing up a different template for members of the Rangers from every species, they all seem to get the same type of training and assignments.

Centauri should be the easiest sapient aliens to stat for B5 IMHO. They even claimed to be Humans initially (or that Earth was actually a lost colony full of Centauri, rather). I'm doing this in 4th ed because I don't have my 3rd ed books handy, but it should mostly be the same:

Basic Centauri Template [-5]:

Culture: Mature TL 9 Base w/ Very Limited Access to some TL 10 and TL 10^ Devices [0];

Advantages: Hard to Kill X1 [2]; Resistance +3 (Coronary Failure) [1];

Disadvantages: Reputation -3 ("The Ancestral Enemy," Narns, Always) [-5]; Reputation -1 ("Misguidedly Pompous Imperialist Nuissance," Non-Centauri, 10-) [-1];

Quirks: Chauvinist [-1]; Proud [-1];

Male Centauri Lens [+15]: Add Extra Arms X6 (Extra Flexible +50%, No Physical Attack -50%, Nuissance: -2 Reactions for Visible Use in Polite Company -10%, Temp Disads: Bad Grip X1 and LPT -15%, Weak -50%) [15];

Female Centauri Lens [-5]: Add Social Stigma (2nd-Class Citizen) [-5];

Notes: Centauri may not buy Susceptibility (Vorlon Psi), which is required for all other Young Races. Individuals may purchase Telepathy Talent and powers at campaign standard cost. They may also take ESP Talent and/or (usually unreliable) Precognition with the addition of a 5-Point Unusual Background. This is more common in but not restricted to the female of the species.

Re: Babylon 5

Basic Human Template [-5]:

Culture: Early TL 9 Base w/ Very Limited Access to some TL 10 and TL 10^ Devices but also Retardation in a few Common Areas such as Anti-Grav [-1];

Advantages: Reputation +1 ("Tough Primitives," Non-Minbari Young Races in Potential or Existing Hostilities, Always) [1];

Disadvantages: Reputation -1 ("Aggressively Xenophobic, Socially Graceless Primitives," Non-Humans Outside of Potential or Existing Hostilities, 10-) [-1]; Susceptibility X4 (Vorlon Psi) [-4];

Notes: Individuals may purchase Telepathy Talent and powers at campaign standard cost, but in the main Human society they will either have a Secret [-20], Enemy (Psi Corps) [40 Base], a state mandate to take psi-suppressing drugs, or the Psi Corps Template. The Susceptibility may be increased to the normal limit, but not decreased or eliminated without Shadow biotech/psychotronic modifications.

Re: Babylon 5

Basic Narn Template [3]:

Culture: Clunky Very Early TL 9 Base w/ Very Limited Access to some TL 10 and TL 10^ Devices [-1];

Secondary: Hit Points +1 [2]; Willpower +1 [5];

Advantages: DR 1 (Flexible -20%) [4]; Reduced Consumption X1 (Water Only -50%) [1]; Reputation +1 ("Tenacious, Vindictive Primitives," Non-Centauri Young Races in Potential or Existing Hostilities, Always) [1]; Temperature Tolerance X2 [2];

Disadvantages: Reputation -3 ("Murderous, Mentally-Disadvantaged Ingrates," Centauri, Always) [-5]; Susceptibility X4 (Vorlon Psi) [-4];

Quirks: Code of Honor (Narn) [-1]; Proud [-1];

Male Narn Lens [+4]: Add Payload X5 (Marsupial Pouch; Nuissance Effect: Moist and Smelly -20%) [4];

Notes: CoH (Narn) boils down to "An Eye For An Eye," distaste for histrionics, plus some fairly inobtrusive Disciplines of Faith. Individuals may not purchase Telepathy Talent and powers at campaign standard cost, requiring Vorlon or Shadow modifications and an expensive Unusual Background to have them. The Susceptibility may be increased to the normal limit, but not decreased or eliminated without Shadow biotech/psychotronic modifications.

Disadvantages: Pacifism (Reluctant Killer; Minbari and Humans Only -40%) [-3]; Reputation -1 ("Stuffy, Uptight, Arrogant" Non-Minbari Outside of Potential or Existing Hostilities, Always) [-3]; Susceptibility X4 (Vorlon Psi) [-4];

Quirks: Chauvinist [-1]; Dull [-1]; Serious [-1];

Notes: Individuals may purchase Telepathy Talent and powers at campaign standard cost. The Susceptibility may be increased to the normal limit, but not decreased or eliminated without Shadow biotech/psychotronic modifications.

Disadvantages: Reputation -1 ("Drazi Don't Have a Word for 'Discretion,'" Non-Drazi Outside of Potential or Existing Hostilities, Always) [-3]; Susceptibility X4 (Vorlon Psi) [-4];

Quirks: Agoraphile [-1]; Mildly Impulsive [-1];

Notes: Individuals may purchase Telepathy Talent and powers at campaign standard cost. The Susceptibility may be increased to the normal limit, but not decreased or eliminated without Shadow biotech/psychotronic modifications.

Quirks: Mild Laziness [-1]; Mild Stubbornness [-1];

Notes: Male Pak'ma'ra are the size of a house cat and non-sapient. Individuals may purchase Telepathy Talent and powers at campaign standard cost. The Susceptibility may be increased to the normal limit, but not decreased or eliminated without Shadow biotech/psychotronic modifications.

Advantages: Night Vision X6 [6]; Night Vision X1 [0];

Disadvantages: Susceptibility X4 (Vorlon Psi) [-4];

Quirks: Careful [-1]; Mild Greed [-1];

Notes: Brakiri operate at -1 vision penalties in normal light, and at no penalty at slightly dim to moderately dark lighting. Talent (Business Acumen) is common but not required. Re: Babylon 5

Can you do one for the Psi Corps? I'm curious as to what they have (I've never followed Babylon 5 for more than one season, but it had some nifty concepts I could export to a similar kind of game).
