I was hoping that we'd come across an unknown system. Then we could name the star, planets, etc, ourselves. Planet Smarg, for example, planet Xerxes, etc, :D

Planet Andrew?

I think I'll stick with "Bob".

David, can ships of this type land on planetary surfaces? If they can, and this is commonly known, I'll edit my IC post.

Exactly once. It has no landing gear, so it's not going anywhere afterwards.

Anybody object to a very condensed time line to get you near the planet and its moons?

I don't. Is there any way we can do training during that time period? In particular, I'd like Xerxes to pick up least one useful shipboard skill.

I've got it at as about 10 days (I need to double check my maths) till the ship is in position to adjust for a planetary orbit. You're likely to get your time testing and installing comms gear, which amounts to study of Electronics Repair (Communications). I'll call it a point, even though it's a bit shy in terms of hours. (There are other things you could do, like deal with the life support system maintenance, if you'd rather.)

Since he already knows how to operate communications gear (and can default to repairing it at only a 9) he'll test and install them, and thank you for that.

Nope!

Andrew will help where he can, and try to figure things out. (I'd make a flow chart for events, if I wasn't so lazy...)

His use with drones might just help.
