Nah, you need added rules to add to the flavor, without everything being in the core books.

In any case, most stuff for 4E is either background or extensions on the core books, isn't it? Do any books add any significant rules? I got Infinity, Fantasy, Bio and Powers. The most extensively 'rules' book is Powers, and it mainly adds new enhancements and limitations. Magic would add mainly spells, and Banestorm is, again, background. Does Martial Arts add anything other than background, massive numbers of cool maneuvers, and templates/schools? Not that that is not extremely enjoyable, of course :D

MA does add some new combat options here and there, yes ... as Kromm says, to the point of doubling the combat rules page count for GURPS ;-).

GURPS don't need of 5ª Edition. The Four Edition is complet.

It is not complete until we get the Vehicles 4E construction for vehicles and weapons book.

I would not presume to call the Aztecs liars. However, as the whole end of the world thing is supposedly a MAYAN prophecy...if I did, it wouldn't matter much :)
