Re: Memorable Quotes.

This conversation took place after the PCs kidnapped a noble, they had been hired to protect at the start of the adventure.

Noble: But I thought my father hired you to protect me?"

PC1: "He did but we got a better offer."
PC2: "Including dental"

"Are you saying it's an upwardly mobile hive of scum and villainy?"

"A 10% cut on selling our loot for us? It's a deal. We'd lose more than that to the pickpockets."

_Not_ heard was anything like "What do you mean he rolled a 35 on his pickpocket check? A 10th level Rogue would need to roll a natural 20 to do that!"

I don't have those kinds of arguments with DMs anymore. What the 10th level guy was doing picking pockets for 10GP a go in marketplace is a setting fracturing question. My 10th level character's +16 Perception is ridiculous enough.

I did say "You know, some of the things they could pull out of my pockets go boom don't you?".

"No, you read her mind, and then I'll wipe your memory of doing it."
"No, thank you."
"That's what you said last time."

The FC Cyborg with nightmares: "I know these aren't my normal nightmares; the screams are human. They're normally Turian."

Five minutes later, the same character: "I use super-luck to wake up."

Re: Memorable Quotes.

Kip (gunslinger): “I think they’re like me—good people who just happen to make bad decisions.”

Kip: “I think I made a mistake when I stole his gun.”
Amarynthe (freighter captain): “You think?”

Kip: “I should probably get rid of the Stormtrooper’s gun.”
Amarynthe: “Well, you’ve already stolen it . . . and it’s not like there’s anywhere here to sell it.”

Arby (an R5 astromech droid): “Why do I do this to myself?”
Amarynth: “Because I own you.”

Arby: “There are explosives on my ship?!”
Amarynth: “It’s my ship.”
Arby: “You just fly the thing, I could train a monkey to do that.”
Kip: “I could fly the ship.”
Arby: “I rest my case.”

Amarynth: “These are the parts from my droid.”
Alejandro (merchant NPC): “An R5. Those are difficult to deal with, if they don’t have regular memory wipes.”
(Arby: “Oh, God, please wipe my memory!”)
Amarynth: “Yeah, I wipe him every so often, then reload his personality from some backup tapes.”
Alejandro: “He must hate you.”

Kip (to Halron): “Oooh, can I go with you?”
Halron (mercenary): “Are you going to keep your mouth shut?”
Kip: (thoughtfully) “No.”
Halron: “Whatever your answer is, is the answer I’m going to give you back.”

Amarynth: “Here’s some food.”
Kip: “But . . . you said not to eat anything or I’d end up in a bathtub full of ice.”
Arby: “What?!”
Kip: “Someone might drug me and steal my organs for sale on the black market.”
Arby: “Human organs are valuable?! Why didn’t anyone tell me this before?”

PC1; "I'll jump off the bridge"
PC2; "I'll look to see if there is any water under the bridge"

Re: Memorable Quotes.

During character generation, with a player who's not that familiar with GURPS:
Player: "Ah, here it is. 'Mount', that's riding, right?"
Me: "No, Riding is riding, Mount is the skill of being ridden."
Player: "I love that this game has that skill listed."

"Difficult"? He's never met Chopper.

If anyone needs that explained, Chopper is the R5 Droid on the Star Wars:Rebels TV series. Chopper goes well beyond difficult or even the "surly" the R5 is described as in one RPG supplement. Something between "thuggish" and "sadistic" might cover it.
