They had do make it POD, at least. This would be THE 4th ed. book with rules for space combat...

If the sales justify it, we certainly will look at producing a POD version.

So, any ball park as to when this will be available?

Can one of the themes be "customized ships" with some modules? For instance, the German shipbuilding industry produced the MEKO 360 type (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEKO) of modularized frigates for German and allied navies.

I'd like to see a baseline version, a stripped-down (de-modularized) version, a bunch of modules, and some variations that people might not have thought of.

Think the 50-ton ship from Traveller. Lovely craft, that. :) But these would be more lethal. :)

Anyway, that's my suggestion.

It just went into editing. Ballparks are large enough at that stage that we refer to them as unusually flat and green continents.

Kinda like a cricket pitch, I think.

I haven't been doing modularized ships, though I might do so based on playtester reaction. Actually, the system is itself fairly modular, so pretty much any vessel works like this anyway...

I hope its a good replacement for the Traveller:IW schip building system. Making fighters like in Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, and Buck Rogers, was not easy using that system.

That is becuase fighter really don't exist in that universe. Fighters in Traveller are like a rowboat compared to a ship-o-line.

And yes I agree, I hope it does fighters better as my current game is a small ship/fighter game.
