For the greater glory of Steve Jackson and His Prophet KROMM, we shall create zombies if the need arises, but put additional research in antivenins countering such nowadays-calamities as crocodile bites, boa constrictions and chainsaw accidents without destroying the mind and inducing an eternal craving for brains.

So what is Hell like, I hear you ask? What happens if you do not follow the tenets of KROMM?

And I saw a small basement, wherein sat five players. Their eyes were dead, their movements listless, their dice dull. And I saw the GM, and he was sitting by himself behind a large screen made from poorly put-together cardboard and cackling to himself. And he had a rulebook in his right hand, and the name on the rulebook was F.A.T.A.L. And the adventure was called "Never-Ending Dungeon." And there was no hope there, and no KROMM to help them, for they had forsaken him to follow false GMs.

Rejoice, my fellow brethren in KROMM, for this will never happen to people like us. We have GURPS, devised by Almighty Steve Jackson and brought to us by His Prophet, KROMM, which will be our guide to The Roleplayers' Heaven. Insh'KROMM!

I refuse to believe in a KROMM that would inflict such a punishment on anyone, even the unbelievers.

KROMM is merciful and compassionate (well, maybe except when he GMs). There is no place for such a torture chamber in a worldview that excepts a benevolent KROMM.

Pretty well, actually.

Looks like people are pretty happy about it.

Isn't it nice to know that whatever else I'll do in my life, I can rest secure in the knowledge that I made it?

The success of the Holy Mother Thread will be a bedrock on which I can build my life from here.

All Glory to KROMM! Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna!

KROMM can only show you the door. You yourself must walk through it.

All hail KROMM, bringer of GURPS and the True Way!

Undeserving of His mercy are we and only by Divine Providence and Sacred Plot-Fudging are we saved!

Glory in KROMM, for he is the Ultimate Deus Ex Machina, the GMPC with all the answers!

KROMM is not the GMPC...but the GM. He is your G.O.D.*

The Five Pillars of Krommunism
  • The Testimony of Gaming – the declaration that there is no game worthy of playing except GURPS and that Kromm is the last editor.
  • Ritual Play – establishing of the five monthly game sessions
  • Obligatory Game-Mastering – establishing a setting that is pleasing to the Almighty Kromm.
  • RPG Abstinence – Ritually fasting from other RPG’s during the holy month
  • The Pilgrimage to Canada – This occurs during the month of the Holy Ones birthday, and is compulsory at least once in ones Roleplaying career. If you are in ill health or in debt, he or she is not required to perform the Pilgrimage.

*this has two interpretations

1) G.O.D. = Games Operational Director

2) G.O.D. = Guardian Of your character's Destiny

I prefer number 1 ^_^

Indeed...

Also due to recent events Kromm has managed to stem the power System Lord Chaney has over President Bush but his Ja'fa servants remain at large. The Lord Kromm was merciful.
