Warlock Knight: A new solo adventure from Gaming Ballistic

David is at it again, with more solo support based on the relatively recent Isle of Sedra Setting.

Warlock Knight goes live on Backerkit Crowdfunding early next week.

Quote:

Legacy Reclaimed!

Years ago your ancestors served proudly as defenders and champions of the realms that would come to be known as the Warlock Kingdoms of Sedra.

Through cruel fate or intentional malice, your family was forced to flee their home, spending years in exile.

No longer. With new-found friends and companions, you are ready to be bold. And with enough Glory become once again, a knight of the realm.

Warlock Knight further explores the volatile politics and shfiting allegiances of the Isle of Sedra. Play as disinherited claimants to noble titles in the always-dangerous Warlock Kingdoms of Sedra.

Warlock Knight is a programmed solitaire adventure for The Fantasy Trip for 32–34-pt characters.
Warlock Knight will go live on Backerkit Crowdfunding next Tuesday, June 18 and ends June 28 (Friday).

Please follow the campaign and jump in right away. This one is going to launch substantially complete. It will also be a gateway for obtaining the core rules, the old Sedra material, other solos, and some monster books from SJGames.

This was a fairly ambitious solo adventure, and perhaps my most sandbox-y to date.

There are linked plots to discover where the outcome of one encounter can affect the next, but the characters are free to go anywhere, and in several cases can opportunity to decide which side to support in certain encounters first

It's also my first "travel" solo that contains not just wilderness/urban adventure but also dungeon delving. There's a couple of original monsters (as well as using several of the new ones from Bestiary and Old School Monsters) and a number of NPCs with their own stories you can opt to befriend or battle.

I've set up a Q&A for tonight. Two hours, on Twitch.

Warlock Knight Q&A

This will be my very first livestream, so I'd beg patience with an old Doug.

But if you have questions about Warlock Knight, Gaming Ballistic's plans and product for TFT, or GB's RPG plans in general, I'm happy to answer.

If I learn more, I'll amend this post!

This is what the Backerkit guide says about streaming:

Quote:

Live streaming is a great way to connect with your supporters in real time. You have the opportunity to integrate live streaming into your project, bringing your project to life for both your current backers and potential future fans.

When you set up streams for your project, the stream will take over project card where the project image typically is, and will also be visible on the Community tab. Backers can participate in the local streaming platform chat straight from BackerKit, or comment on the stream via BackerKit if they don't have a streaming platform account.

Warlock Knight comes to a close in a bit less than a day and a half.

It's about 2000% funded, and I finished the actual BOOK layout about an hour ago. So it's ready to send to the printer after it gets a brief eyeball by backers.

Here's the latest, and backers get to see some exclusive screen caps with the new art inserted.

For what it's worth:

All content, new and old, for the Warlock Knight solo adventure campaign has been uploaded to the Backerkit portal. I've pushed the "begin to lock and charge" button, which means that a 48-hour notice will go out to those who have already filled out their surveys. On Monday morning, I'll distribute the PDFs for all content for those who have filled out surveys.

So if you want pretty nearly instant gratification, you can hit up the "survey stores," which is Backerkit's phrasing for Late Pledges, here:

Late Pledge for Warlock Knight

Image for Loreleli card shows two handed maul and gives damage for same, but identifies weapon as Club instead.
Thrasaric shown with "trident" in image, but still a magical +1 club.
Other peasant farmers continue in this same pattern.

Bazra card has mismatch between weapon and talent. (Toughness not listed under armor slot)

That is clearly a club, though held in two hands, and "...used in two hands, as a maul" suggests that it's using an imprecise term for a two-handed club, which is the damage on the table +4.

ST 10 with a club in one hand is 1d, in two hands is 1d+1.

No change - this is correct.

It's obviously a pitchfork (though not a club, true), which was artistic license by the artist. Since they have no appreciable weapon talents, the only way they could use this stick is as a two-handed club. It's good enough

No change.

That's a legit error, and I'll fix it. David must have changed the weapon she used during re-drafts.

Thanks for this, but please submit future suggestions for errors at:

I've added a Warlock Knight entry which can be used for both book and cards.
