Saethor's Bane: Now available retail at the GB Shopify site

Saethor's Bane is the conversion to Powered by GURPS/the Dungeon Fantasy RPG of David Pulver's "Dark Lord's Doom," which are also available for TFT and Old-School Essentials.

It is full-color, as befitting a DFRPG product, and blossomed to 52 easy-to-read pages with nice art. It is a choose-your-own style "tutorial" adventure which introduces characters at 112 points, and growth is artificially fast, allowing one to experience how your options expand with different professions and abilities as you grow in points.

It is available in PDF, Print, and a bundle.

I've been getting notes from folks who have played through it what seems like a half-dozen times or more, with different characters, different choices, and different in-combat tactics. So it's got some legs.

I backed it and it looks really good. Still working my way through the early part of the adventure. Taking lots of notes as I go so it is slowing down play alot. I took a pause and purchased related Foundry VTT material (Saethor's Bane FVTT license and also the Bestiary/Foe book FVTT license and finally one for the Nightmare fuel.

Now I'm just working on figuring out the set up and how to GM it. Currently still working on a solo run through for myself. The PDF is really good as it has hyperlinks so you can click on the next number and jump to the next section needed for the adventure. Right now I'm on my first real battle (its the one on the bridge).

I've GMed it for at least three different groups. Everyone enjoyed it immensely.

Ooh, the bridge fight. That one can be tough! My kids enjoyed it so much that they wanted to run through it a second time after they won (trying different tactics). It's a great adventure.

It also contains a couple of new DtG modules, which I found very handy.

This is likely a trend that shall continue.

We played the OSE versión with my kid and he enjoyed It quite a lot.

I have challenged him to try it the DF way and he has agreed.

I know we will have a good time and quite certain fights Will be tougher now.

If you run it using DFRPG/DF rules, please let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Great. Hopefully eventlually you will collect all the modules in the adventures and publish in a source book or source books. Like say a Isle of Sedra Wilderness guide focusing on Druids, Barbarians, and Scouts. Or maybe break them up into the same as the various Delvers to Grow books. Something like for instance, Smart (Strong | Fast) Delvers expansion books.

I have a desire and a plan to do a Delvers to Grow Companion. It would be a labor of love, since it's a high input, mediocre expected return project by my estimation.

I'll back it! I think if it collects enough material from the various adventures and adds some new material I think it will do well. Some specific areas to target include areas where DFRPG is a bit lack luster. One of my favorite things about "Delvers to Grow" is the extra modules that give additional capabilities. I'm a big fan of the New Advantages section in "Delvers to Grow" This especially includes Thief, Druid, and Bard. Bards going beyond mere playing of music for magic would be good -- dancers and poets for instance. More musical instruments for load outs.

More like the New Advantages section. I love things like Expanded Bardic Talent, Herbacious Mastery, Heroic Spellsinger, Vanishing Act, etc. Also add in some additional loadouts to assist with quickly getting players to the table.

"Delvers to Grow" does a good job of helping go from descriptive character concept to translate to game mechanics. I also love the Sample characters listing at different point levels. Excellent!
