Turn 52 part 2

Cassandra swings her sword and almost hits (rolled a 10, Move and attack is capped at 9).

Anoras moves to 6 yards away

Turn 53 part 1

Fireballs turns around and hisses in Haunden: "Very well, Landless Loser". He's taking all out defense (block).

The archers draw their swords.

And I think a map will help here

Anoras isn't sure if they think she's allied or not

Cassandra will do a Move and Attack again, her move is now 4 due to damage. Presumably she is facing S towards Fireball

She does not want the archers behind her

Move SW 1 - 1 total move
S 1 - 2 total
Facing change from S to SE 1 - 3 total
Facing change SE to NE - 4 total

And swing capped at 9, both Fireball and Archers should be in forward vision arc

Thanks for the map! Looks like Anoras will reach Fireball in one turn, if I'm thinking right.

Understood. But they do know Anoras medically treated Venasir wounded. They do know Anoras traveled with wounded Venasir who couldn't move very fast, and that was to join Venasir who were wounded and/or guarding prisoners. (Meaning Anoras could reasonably have gotten back to where Fireball is well before the others.) They do know they've never seen Anoras attack a Venasir. And while Anoras, who is a Naturalist, has been looking for watching animals, she hasn't seen one.

And Anoras did make Fast-Talk on this:

Sure, they did see Anoras running with Cassandra--but then Anoras moved to get away from the Haunden warrior. And as Cassandra was Anoras's patient, not too surprising the warrior wouldn't attack her healer.

Anoras running (and yelling in Venasir): "Don't kill the Haunden warrior yet! She might know the secret plan!"

My thinking on the previous failed Fast-Talk is the Venasir just think "the Haunden" Anoras warned about is just Cassandra. Rolling Fast=Talk again.

So continuing with that plan to reach Fireball in I think one turn.

Turn 53 part 1:

Cassandra moves around wings, trying to keep her back away from any enemies, while sloppily striking.

But she's lucky, and rolls low (9) while fireballs rolls high (15), failing to block even as he retreats.

with 9 base damage, its not her best roll ever, but its enough to do 6 damage through armor, for 9 injury. Fireballs is already down 9 HP.

Anoras runs up to the fighting pair.

The sorcerer totters for a moment, mutters "Bury me at home", and then passes out and falls down.

The archers just stand there with their swords.

Anoras will stop running when she gets to Fireball.

Anoras (whispering in Haunden to Cassandra): "Please don't damage the mask."

Anoras (speaking out loud in Venasir while looking at Fireball): "Your wish will be fulfilled. You will be buried at home."

Anoras's Stubbornness just went into gear (I will see the sorcerer Fireball is buried at home.) Of course to fulfill that wish, she needs to be around when Fireball dies. So if Cassandra wants to finish off Fireball, go for it.

She will whirl her sword cheerfully and look to see what giga Thad skeleton is up to

Anoras (speaking in Haunden) "Yes, I think Thad would want that skeleton destroyed."

Anoras (speaking loudly in Venasir to the two archers) "Don't try to run away. You can see that didn't work. Run away and both Venasir and Haunden will be out to kill you. Come with us and I can speak for you."

Anoras will take Fireball's mask and check to see that Fireball is definitely dead/dying.

Thad's skeleton is plodding away slowly across the field, about 60 yards from the main battle at this point. The people over there are still fighting with skeletons, though it seems all of the skeletons are on the ground.



Anoras's checking for life and removing the mask will take several seconds of combat time... is that something she wants to do immediately?
