But she would see her original plan to prevent the attack didn't work. (I've known that for a long time, but she didn't.) Original plan: Quote:
Anoras (speaking in Haunden): "Gerrund, you are experienced, so I am glad you agree with my plan. I will run ahead while the rest of you follow!" She will do so--and hope the rest catch up quickly. And hope she doesn't get attacked before she can do anything. And hope that Cassandra was accepted so Anoras, with or without a mask, can be identified as an ally by Holidor! (But not as an enemy by the rebels. After all, she medically treated some of them.) |
Re: Warriors of Haunden (IC)
TURN 29
Allied Archer aims Cassandra shoots at wings from 6 yards away! (rolled an 8, needed 16 - 3 +3 = 16) to hit. Wings blocks (rolled a 10, needed an 11) Fireball and the enemy archers archers move to 100 yards away. Injured skeletons move to 104 yards away. Flanking archer #1 moves towards battle line (96 yards) Flanking archer #2 shoots at enemy glaive, but its a miss. The battle-line remains a mess! (soldier roll 18 ... further rolls cannot be made. The battle line is not a line and never will be. The enemy may move through to attack archers and wounded if they wish. One skeleton moves forward to attack Cassandra) Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings charge into battleline and make attacks. 4 skeletons attack battle line. The battleline attacks back. The "line" looks like this (Enemies first): Spear Skeleton (-4HP) vs spear Spear vs spear club skeleton (-1HP) vs Glaive Sword vs sword sword skeleton vs Cassandra Wings vs Glaive spear Skeleton vs Horseman Glaive(-8HP) vs sword Moving forward to attack, the living enemy only scores a single potential hit (by the enemy swordman... Anoras has opinions on this guy), but its blocked by a shield. Every ally in the battle line has a potential hit. no deceptive attacks (and probably worth it, given all the 13 and 14 hits). The club skeleton and wings are hit (go glaives?). The skeleton's armor absorbs the hit, but wings takes what should be a major hit (he has 1 DR, 3 damage make it through, and he's down 6, but it doesn't count as a major wound somehow) The skeletons roll poorly, only the horseman and glaive attackers have potential hits. They both roll poorly (13 and 12), but horse does block. glaive takes three damage Damage Summary:

Anoras takes off running towards the sound of the horn. She sees the battle form up and all the exchange of the arrows. Assuming she has been running towards the battle line the whole time, I can put her at 40 yards behind it, if that's good with everyone. |

Cassandra drop bow, fast draw sword, ready shield

If I remember correctly, these Venasir didn't see her in the healer mask. So I guess she won't wear that. As she has Hidden Lore (Sorcery), does she think it's reasonable that Stripes would appear with a woman's body? But then again, if Holidor thinks she's Stripes, they might attack her. So I guess no mask. Although if I'm missing something Anoras would know, the GM can roll Hidden Lore (Sorcery) or Tactics for me as appropriate. Quote:

Re: Warriors of Haunden (IC)
Anoras is running towards the battleline, 34 yards behind it*
Cassandra fast-draws her sword and readies her shield, throwing her mighty bow to the side!** Allied archer aims at distant targets (2 seconds) Fireball and the enemy archers archers move to 96 yards away. Injured skeletons move to 102 yards away. Flanking archers move towards battle line (92 yards and 96 yards) The melee rages on! Wings attempts to stun the horseman, but fails The enemy spearman and swordman each have a potential hit! The spear is blocked, but the sword hits, doing 7 damage, 3 stopped by DR, but 6 injury. R-sword takes 6 damage, but stays in the fight. The allied battle line attacks back, except for Cassandra, who is drawing weapons, and R-Sword, who takes all out defense (block): Every attack is a potential hit***! Their defenses are poor: Enemy spear takes 1 damage through armor and 2 injury The horseman does 2 damage through armor and 3 injury to his spear skeleton Allied Sword deals 5 damage through armor to enemy glaive. That's 7 injury for a major wound and putting the foe under 0 HP! ... But he's still hanging on, much like allied glaive The skeletons attack their opposites: they are not slowed down by the hits against them, and all but the first spear have potential hits. Horseman blocks. R-glaive takes a hit of 2 damage from a club. Cassandra needs to defend, or take... wow, 9 cutting damage before armor. *Anoras has move 6, I think, being unencumbered handing having speed 6 and thus move 6. **remind me of her current HP total please *** reinforcing glaive has high skill, 15, and has rolled 15 each time. Kind of nice Damage Summary:

In either case, I'm going by the assumption Anoras would be behind the rebels, but in the direction Holidor warriors and Cassandra are facing. If that's right, as soon as she notices one of the Venasir rebels starting to turn to look in her direction, she'll do this: Anoras (yelling in Venasir): "Here I come!" Her hope is the rebels will not only recognize her as that "weird Venasir healer who helped us", they'll be distracted from looking at the people who are attacking them. |
Re: Warriors of Haunden (IC)
Cassandra is down 4, at 16/20
She tries to do a feverish parry not wanting to eat such a mighty blow! FP from 13 to 12 parry 10+1 CR+2DB+2 Feverish = 15 She will then on her next turn try to smack back at the skeleton with her sword! ((I think Anoras has reduced move so move 5 not 6)) |
Re: Warriors of Haunden (IC)
OCC: arrggg! I ran half this combat in the wrong dice log! that's why they look funny.
Anoras's Speed and encumbrance is determined by if she grabbed any armor or not. let me know. Anoras is running towards the battleline, 30 or 28 yards behind it. She is approaching from behind the battleline, so its easy for the sorcerers to see her but hard for Holidor's troops. This is noted by the word "behind it" Cassandra rolls a 14 for her parry... that's a success! good call on the Feverish defense. Allied archer aims at distant targets (3 seconds) Fireball and the enemy archers archers move to 92 yards away. Injured skeletons move to 100 yards away. Flanking archers move towards battle line (88 yards and 92 yards) The melee rages on! Cassandra attacks her skeleton... a roll of 8 is a hit, but the skeleton blocks her blow with an 8 of its own. Wings stun rolls continue to be terrible, rolling a 16 vs. the horseman's 12 The enemy glaive remains conscious, but steps back from the fight, out of reach. Enemy sword has a potential hit but its blocked, and enemy spear rolls a critical, for an automatic hit! The roll of the critical hit table is a 13, if any damage makes it through the armor, its a major wound... but none does! (exactly) reinforcing glaive and reinforcing sword take all out defense since they have shock penalties this round Allied Glaive does nothing (and thus doesn't roll for consciousness) The two reinforcing spears, the horseman, and the swordman attack! They all have potential hits, but only the spear skeletons fail to defend. The first spear skeleton takes 4 damage from a really solid hit, and that does 4 injury (curse you unliving). No Shock, no knockdown roll. The Spear skeleton is now slowed. The horseman gets in his own good hit, dealing 5 cutting through armor and 7 injury... a major wound to the skeleton, but it stays up. It is slowed. The first spear skeleton has a potential hit, and hits the reinforcing spear warrior. 2 damage get through armor, for 4 injury and shock The club skeleton's weapon is knocked out of its hand by the enemy shield! (critical miss) The sword skeleton has another potential hit on Cassandra... once again for 9 cutting damage before armor and injury, the maximum
