Mage-Hunter in Companion 3
 

I guess I am a little confused about Caster Sense. It's not a required advantage. However, as part of the selection of 40 pts in advantages, it has Caster Sense but it also has Acute Caster Sense.

My question is does Acute Caster Sense increase Caster Sense as if it was a new Sense like vision or hearing. If this is the case, how can you increase something that hasn't been selected yet or required as part of the package?

Acute Caster Sense is useless without Caster Sense, but you've got 40 points, you can buy both.

Yeah, it works like any Acute Sense. And yes, you can buy it in advance, but that would be pretty useless. I would advice against it.
