Yeah, that's missing too.

True enough. Being a lost-in-dreams character is not likely to be conducive to humility.

Well, if it's a grate, I'll look through it to see what's beyond. Maybe this is the way outside. I'll also look at the chests in this cloak room. Maybe this is where the men's clothes are kept.

Hm... Maybe there's more than just the sleepers living here, or perhaps this is a laundry room of some kind. Let's proceed with these exits.

Well I'll just come out and say it: Julian's first goal is to find an exit, if he needs it. Then comes 'investigate'. Which generally works out to 'meander around'.
He hears something through the grate. Maybe a breeze? The hall has an alcove on the west halfway down it. A Stone statue of a solider with a spear stands in it. At the end is a second iron grate headed east. And maybe the sound of the wind?

Well, let's unbar one of these grates and look outside. If my dream is any indication, it's probably an ocean of sand, so I'm probably best off staying put. I'll head back down and check the other staircase up afterwards.

Julian unbars the first grate to go look outside the second grate. As he nears the statue, his supernatural sense detects something. He hasn't seen this type of effect before. Actually, its too effects, one hanging in the hall, and the other clinging to the statue. Looking at the statue, its standing in front of a barred grate, like the other two.

Well, it's just a statue, right? Like, the spear is also made of stone? It couldn't like, move...

I give it a wide berth as I go look out the eastern facing grate.

He passes the statue. The magic in the area ripples as he steps through it, but the statue doesn't move.

Looking out the last grate, he sees stars, a sliver of the moon and what looks like maybe a village at the foot of a hill. He feels the wind on his face.

There might be sand dunes out to the North. If that is indeed north: the position of the moon makes that direction being north unlikely.

Looking at the stars, they seem unfamiliar: no big dipper or orion. There is a milky way, though it seems somehow thicker.

Well, I guess that was a lot of nothing.

Well, looks like a planet at least. Not a space station or a... Tube loop. And now I know where the exit is now.

I head back towards the cloak room, check the chests in there, and then head through the western exits of the dirty furniture room.

I love this is an actual concern!

Julian walks back towards the area, but as he enters the space of the hall filled with the sense, The statue steps in front of him and sticks out its spear. Its says something in a foreign language, in a sort of question.

Julian hears a Bell ring from the room behind the moving statue, and some more heavy footsteps. The statue isn't moving forward yet though.

I shuffle backwards towards the grate. I don't like the sound of those footsteps. Once I reach the grate, I'll try to push the bar out to open the grate while looking ahead towards the statue, and once it's open, rush out.

Has my hand stopped glowing yet?
