We are seeking playtesters for
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Thieves, by Christopher R. Rice. This 30- to 35-page "splatbook"
greatly expands on the templates, lenses, power-ups, gear, and other options available to thieves in
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy. The best way to understand its scope and nature is by reading
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Barbarians or
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Denizens: Swashbucklers.
We are seeking applicants familiar with the
Dungeon Fantasy series – particularly
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 1: Adventurers for the original thief template and associated gear, plus either
Barbarians or
Swashbucklers to help us ensure consistency within the
Denizens sub-series. However, the more
Dungeon Fantasy you know, the better; knowledge of the thieving tasks in
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 2: Dungeons, the lenses for thieves in
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 3: The Next Level, the thief power-ups in
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 11: Power-Ups, and the closely related assassin and ninja professions in
GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 12: Ninja would be particularly helpful. We value fresh perspectives, though, so as long as you're conversant in
GURPS abilities and equipment (this project
is "crunchy"), feel free to apply!
The playtest is currently scheduled to run for about three weeks, from September 16, 2021 to October 7, 2021. Please submit your application ASAP.
Preferential playtest slots will be given to those who have spent at least $50 on PDFs from
Warehouse 23 in the past calendar year, though this is not a requirement. For more, see the general
playtest information page.
Prospective playtesters should email Roger Burton West at
pt-df-thieves@firedrake.org with [playtest] in the subject. Include your preferred email address for the closed playtest mailing list, your name as you wish it to appear in the published supplement, your Warehouse 23 login name, and a few words on why we should pick you: qualifications, experience, current gaming group(s), etc. Please use this format:

I've played GURPS since 2004, and GURPS Dungeon Fantasy since it came out in 2008. All my favorite characters are thieves . . . I'm playing one right now! I own all the supplements you mentioned and lots more besides, and I have playtest credit on two projects.
We look forward to hearing from you!
