Question regarding Rallying Cry.
It says -1 per stunned ally. Can you select the amount of allies within the affected area to be affected or do you have to take the penalty for all allies that happen to be within the area, secondly for this purpose what constitutes an ally?

You could probably target it to a specific group (larger or smaller than your party) if you know something the entire group has in common; e.g., they’re all members of the same military unit ? |
Re: Question regarding Rallying Cry.
I think I basically agree with Celjabba: I'd probably let you include some allies but not others as long as there's something meaningfully distinguishing the group you're affecting from those you're ignoring.
If you're traveling with five longtime adventuring buddies and a couple of hirelings you picked up yesterday, I'd let you include only your buddies. It seems natural that experienced party members would respond to your leadership in a way that the newbies wouldn't. (If you have NPC allies who have been with you as long as the other PCs, I wouldn't let you exclude them.) If the PCs are traveling alongside a squad of the King's soldiers, the squad leader might very well shout a Rallying Cry that only affects his own guys and ignore the PCs. ("Fifth Squad, form up!") |

"Come on Ragnar, get up! You too Darkblade!"
"what about..." "No one's talking to you Zoltan." |

"Why should I go with you? I want to stay right here." "I'm sorry, I'm not very good at threats. Late, as in the late Mr. Zoltan." |
