Fairy Unfairness Ruling

Using Fairy Unfairness with Thief. Does this mean I do not lose a level if I fail to steal successfully as I am able to avoid any disadvantages and penalties?

No. Losing a level for failing to steal is a consequence. Fairy unfairness allows you to ignore the text on Monster cards that say, add +5 when fighting a Thief.
