"OK, you're back on the dolly."

I start cutting away at rising giant:

2 Damage rolls
5d6 +1
1: 3 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 14
2: 5 + 4 + 3 + 1 + 6 + 1 = 20
sum: 34, average: 17.00

[546] 23-01-03 23:30:53 GMT - TGLS
Erm, 2 more
3d6 <= 14
1: 3 + 6 + 2 = 11 ... success
2: 1 + 5 + 6 = 12 ... success
sum: 23, average: 11.50, success: 2/2 100%

[545] 23-01-03 23:30:35 GMT - TGLS
Three Cutting Attacks
3d6 <= 14
6 + 5 + 6 = 17 ... failure

Well, I guess that confirms it well enough!

Vassarious reveals a pair of blades and delivers a spinning dual weapon attack!

Spinning Attack (Treated as a feint)

3d6
6 + 4 + 6 = 16

(margin of zero... yuck!)

DWA #1 | 3d6 | 2 + 5 + 6 = 13

DWA #2 | 3d6 | 4 + 4 + 6 = 14

ST 20 Swing 3d+2 | +2/die Weapon bonus | +2/die skill bonus = 3d+14 = 7D cutting

Damage 1 | 7d6
6 + 6 + 1 + 4 + 3 + 4 + 2 = 26

Damage 2 | 7d6
5 + 1 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 6 + 5 = 28

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)

Halcyone tears into the demon with her blades. It tries to move out of the way, and its fast, but not fast enough when its on the ground and can't retreat. The creature is tougher than a human ought to be, but not enough to do more than moderately slow down the damage. (HP 16, DR 3).

That's 23 and 25 after DR, with the 1.5 cutting modifier, for 71 total damage. its below -HPX3. But its still conscious and kicking.

With such great body damage, one of V's attack's succeeds, Which is enough to leave the creature in several pieces. It appears to be dead. Only through dismemberment. Far more blood than should be possible to keep in one body is on the floor.

**oops, no armor should apply against the vibro. Not that it matter here.

"Well, it looks dead now. Do you think there's a chance it could still be alive?"

I amble over to the largest piece and start shredding it. It'll be standing up soon if it can recover.

More slicing

3d6 <= 14
1: 3 + 5 + 2 = 10 ... success
2: 5 + 2 + 6 = 13 ... success
3: 5 + 6 + 4 = 15 ... failure

[559] 23-01-04 23:47:00 GMT - TGLS
Damage Rolls
5d6 +1
1: 1 + 4 + 4 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 12
2: 2 + 1 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 1 = 17

As you say "more slicing"

The pieces lay there and start smoking... which V can identify as typical behavior of Telruthian Flesh severed from the main body. He's dead. Or rather, he'll be reforming back on one of the Telruthian worlds, not here.

I knock on the door, and say, "Quicksand hold fast. It's dead. Better bring a mop too. "

"The Telruthian Filth will reconstitute in it's world of origin... That's one demon down anyway. I'd like to tour the rest of the vessel"

The Guards open the door and look at all the blood on the floor, as well as the dismembered pieces of the demon, which looks quite human. "Yes... A mop. Good Idea!... Is this what it takes to kill them?"

"A tour or an inspection?"

"These ones at least. Most of them need to be cut to ribbons."

"I'll be heading back to finish setup of my monitoring equipment."

I head back to pickup the second hive and set it up in a far off storage area.
