Flammable Vehicles

I'm preparing a scenario where a helicopter gun ship (carrying the PCs) takes out some terrorists who armed with assault rifles in motor boats on the open ocean who are harassing a nearby oil tanker.

I see in the rules that the Hughes OH-6A Cayuse has a listed HT score of 10f, with the f indicating the it is flammable.

I'm not sure the rules implications of that.

Like most vehcles that burn petroleum fuels, it has the Fragile (Flamable) disadvantage, as per p. B136-7. If it takes a Major Wound, it may well catch fire.

If you watch action movies, all modern vehicles are made, at least in part, of explodium.

In contrast to reality, where exploding/burning vehicles are very definitely the exception, even in the case of major car collisions and the like. Engineers know that the fuel is flammable/explosive and design the vehicles to compensate for that, and mostly they succeed. It can happen, but it usually doesn't.
