I think most of us who are active on the server would agree that Discord has limitations, but it's also very convenient as a forum to dump ideas or questions and get quick feedback. It's social tool, first and foremost so I guess you have to be OK with that before you get too invested.

A couple of times, I captured a conversation on Discord and brought it to this forum because I wanted to consolidate or summarize comments made in the Discord discussion so that it could be more easily searched at a later time.

Right. It functions as well as it does only because of the number of people on it. If instead they were on this forum, we’d have the benefit of all of those contributors combined the convenience of separate threads that are searchable.

I guess that I prefer Forum type systems. FOR ME, Discord just seemed to be a bunch of people in a room, all of them talking at the same time. I found it kind of disorganized and rambling, hard to really track the conversations. AGAIN, FOR ME.

Just different strokes for different folks.

Totally valid and no worries. TBH, I actually would like to see the traffic pick up here so I've set a goal to create a new thread or update an old one with a new post every week.

Capturing conversations from Discord and post them here is a very good idea.

Keep it up.

The idea was driven by the need for an easier search for such info. Discord is great for open discussion but doesn't segregate to specific discussions. It only segregates discussions to occur within topic categories.
