Converting 3e guns to 4e
Anyone have any good tips about converting 3rd edition guns to 4th edition? We're talking Cyberworld, so no real-world stats

Assign Bulk by comparing the size, weight and handiness of the weapon to other similar weapons that have been statted in 4e.
Do the same for Rcl, i.e. compare the real-world felt recoil, spread in rapid fire and controllability of the weapon to already existing 4e weapons. If a fictional weapon, note that the 3e Rcl stat at least gives a clue as to whether the Rcl should be more or less than typical firearms; as most normal pistols and assault rifles have the same Rcl 2 in 4e, which corresponds to whatever 3e Rcl number similar weapons had. |

Thank you both!
I especially like the Assault weapons in Cyberworld, which have Acc in the 500 to 1000 range. I suspect a typo. :) |

Yeah, it's a formatting issue.

SM 15 brings it down to -16. Acc brings this down to -10. Their effective skill is 2. A handful of other modifiers might bring this up a bit. 2 more turns of aiming brings this up to 4. I really can't see anything useful here. Besides, I was thinking of a smaller target. And an SM 15 ship has at least 500 points of DR. |
