Arizona Arenas

I've gone though the ADQ and the Road Atlases and Autoduel.

I'm unable to find much for Arizona. The Atlases cover the rest of the US, but they needed one more to hit the SouthWest.

Does anyone have any info or can point me toward any official info for Arizona arenas, road duels, etc?

Thank you

I fear you're out-of-luck -- Desert SW was the only _RASG_ not published (I used to have some files for it, but as it was being written by NOVA...); and none of the RA entries in _ADQ_ cover AZ (the closest is Las Vegas, NV, in _ADQ 2/4_, IMSMC). Even _GURPS Autoduel_ doesn't mention AZ arenas (or AZ much at all).

You may have to come up with your own ideas on that score -- one obvious possibility is an arena built on the remains of Phoenix Raceway.

I have the desert region subject to some serious nasty from the war. As a result it is my Mad-Max style area. I am using the Fallout games geography as a basis as well, since that is easy to research. Basically smallish towns separated by lots of sand and scrub

Wasn't Mutant Zone set there?

The Mini AADA RASG in GURPS Autoduel Second Edition has a small amount of information on Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada.

High Velocity Duelling (HVD) was scheduled to publish the HVD Unofficial Guide to the Desert Southwest around 2000 or 2001, but that project was cancelled when HVD folded.

Earlier this month I uploaded once again the two HVD Arena Supplements to my Web site: Flashfire Circuit and Hot Asphalt Circuit.

Flashfire Circuit is a collection of arenas in the Midwest and Mountain West. Hot Asphalt Circuit is a collection of arenas in the Desert Southwest.

Yeah, that's what I'm currently looking at.

This will help a great deal. Thank you

At least when I start putting my own stuff together, I won't be stepping on any established history.

I'd heard of Hot Asphalt but I didn't really know what it was until I clicked on Owenmp's link.

Note the author -- HVD was much a NOVA project as anyone's.

NOVA has several additional arenas for Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada on its Web site.
