Limestone Caverns!

Just have to share how psyched I am about today's announcement of the limestone cavern roll-up battle mats (to be tied to the upcoming Hexagram #3 kickstarter). I just love these things. As soon as I got a personal look at the first two that came with the LE boxed set, I have been hoping they would roll out a whole series of them - arenas, small dungeons, bigger things, either as giant sheets or connectable small sheets. And voila, the universe seems to be falling in line with my plans! TFT is so 'leveraged' by high quality table-top components in a way few (no?) other roleplaying games are.

Those are looking particularly nice.

Dump a handful of condition markers (pit, obstruction, low ceiling, bat guano, etc.) from several feet up then move these over to the nearest hex?

AND they are geomorphic!

I've been plopping my small MH tiles and markers onto the the rubber battle mats and can confirm it makes them feel like more useful, adaptable tools. It is noticeable that the graphic design isn't quite the same (white background on tiles; some sort of pastel on mats). But it could be worse. The diversity of tiles is getting better and better, so it is hard to think off-hand of what new ones we would need for this purpose.

tl;dr - Back early!

---

Just a note. The two new playmats will be limited in number for the Kickstarter campaign and, during the project, locked to a specific reward level that includes the two playmats and Hexagram #3.

The BackerKit survey _might_ offer a limited number of playmats as an add-on. If there's enough demand, we will reprint them in 2020.

I made a few arenas and maps that are compatible with TFT.

The Limestone Caverns look way cool!

These are nice; is there a way to purchase hard copies, or is it more of a 'DIY print job' situation?

I love that they're geomorphic in every direction. I think that is the best decision on these things yet -- and fully in keeping with the big maps in the Classic Edition (to say nothing of the GEV/Battlefields maps). That kind of thing REALLY increases the utility of the maps/mats. I hope to see more just like that coming out in the future (not necessarily limestone caverns though, obviously! ;-) )!

These can be purchased, but I didn't know if it was rude to put that information on the forum. If you're interested, reach out to me.

If not, there are many services available for shipping from the USA to other countries at a reasonable price. You simply provide SJG with the USA address of the forwarder and get it taken care of.

I'm a little nervous sending my packages to a stranger. Have you used any of these services you can recommend?

I have, but it was a country-specific service which wouldn't be relevant to you. My experience with that particular one was excellent. A search for international mail forwarding will find large companies which are quite reputable. In terms of "sending your stuff to a stranger" it will be a registered business with an online and real world footprint.

The playmats are now available as part of Hexagram #3, with less than 100 slots of this limited reward level remaining.
