Question About Movement in Melee
I couldn't find any mention of it in the Melee rulebook, but does a character's movement have to stop if they enter an opponent's front hexes and become engaged? Or is engagement only determined after movement is complete?

Yes, they have to stop. You'll find it on page 8 of the Melee rulebook (down at the very bottom): "A figure must stop its movement when it enters any front hex of an enemy figure, thus becoming engaged."

Ah, OK! I must have been too caught up in the game to spot that line! Thanks!
I see now, it's listed under "MOVING ONTO OTHER FIGURES", so I think I skipped over it when looking. |
Re: Question About Movement in Melee
Yeah, it seems slightly out of place there. Maybe that section should've been called "Moving Onto or Near Other Figures". (Personally, I would've had a different section just to explain "Engagement", since it's an important concept in the game, and I would've put that line in there.)
