Note that Wights are bound to location or mission only, while Ghosts can haunt objects.

Unless, of course, you as the GM decide the above ISN'T true. Then they can do whatever you want.

Also, I don't see the cool name as necessarily being definitive as to the characteristics of the thing named; example: "Powerstones" versus "Strength Battery." Both describe the ability of the item in question, but "Powerstones" seems cooler and more evocative than the probably more rigorously correct "Strength Battery."

Nah. I prefer the military term "MRE" (Mana, Ready to Expend).

Akshually, in the TO&E it's listed as "Mana, Ready to Expend, 1 each"

With your Sword Wraith, does the spirit have any access to the possessed person's mind, or is it just a new mind in control of the body?

I was going with no, but you could do whatever you wanted with it. The idea is that spirit within the object possesses the victim and controls the body. Anything that would give a possessed character a 'break free' roll would work during the possession. Under normal circumstances, this means that the Sword Wraith is in control until:

A: The Sword Wraith fulfills it's goal
2: The character breaks free
Gamma: the character is killed.

If the character is killed, then the Sword Wraith makes the body a Zombie and keeps going until the Zombie is destroyed, or some other living being grasps the item. Joe the Guard might take the item immediately and bam!, now Joe is possessed so no need for a Zombie body.

A Sword Wraith would never possess a creature that is incapable of using the item unless it only wanted to move to a location where it could find a suitable host. A Lizardman may not be able to use the haunted Tuba, but the Tuba Wraith might possess the lizardman long enough to find someone with lips.

I have a case of those somewhere.
