Purchasing a copy direct from SJGames?

I asked this question in another thread but didn't get an answer, and I think it could be of broad enough interest to elevate to a thread title: With the legacy edition being released in retail stores next week, will it be possible to purchase directly from SJG, or will we have to find a third party to act as intermediate?

I would hope it would be sold through Warehouse 23, but only the great eye knows for sure.

The Legacy Edition will be for sale on Warehouse 23, yes.

In a similar vein, will any of the add-on 'parts' from the Legacy Edition kickstarter be available at Warehouse 23? I'm thinking of the extra Melee/Wizard/DeathTest 1&2 counters, extra dice, extra character pads, stuff like that.

That's great; thanks very much for the quick reply! I'll be first in line...

FYI, I understand it has been possible to add the LE and some of the other items to backerkits of subsequent kickstarters, but I couldn't figure out how to use this as a mechanism to have a copy of the game sent to another person. (I.e., because I wanted my kickstarter stuff sent to me at one place and the other items sent to another person at another address) If anyone else has been trying to figure out that problem, it will help them to advertise which items will be available for order direct from you, for shipping wherever we specify.

Maybe. Depends on what we have left when it comes to inventory after fulfillment.

I'm noting significant interest at the over a dozen convention games I've run TFT at. I hope to see y'all calling GPI soon to start the 2nd run process!

The second printing of the Legacy Edition will _not_ have the exact same components. The Legacy Edition box states which items are not planned for later printings.

NOTE: There are also some options for TFT fans on the Pocket Box preorder page: https://pocket-box-games-of-the-eigh...ted_preorders/

Nice! Somehow I didn't think to get involved in the kickstarter, but will be happy to get my freshly minted pocketboxes for a few faves!

Re: Purchasing a copy direct from SJGames?

Quick question about plans for order fulfillments: At the moment, the three paths to getting a Legacy Edition boxed set are: 1) try to get from a retailer, starting next week; 2) Order from W23; or 3) order through the options associated with the various kickstarters (e.g., I ordered one for somebody using the PocketBox kickstarter). Is there a difference among these options in when you'll be sending them out?

Pocket Box is set to deliver in October, so any orders through that channel will be delivered late this year.

The fastest option is to look for the game at your local store on Wednesday.

Oo, thanks for letting me know. Do you know if I can cancel an order I just placed through the pocketbox campaign so I can pick it up through a faster route?

Edit: Nevermind; I figured out how to cancel through backerkit. Cheers-

Hurray! I just ordered one for my brother, who will be positive ecstatic to receive it.

Nice! They are listed as First Edition boxes. Are those going to continue to be manufactured, or is it a matter of "selling until current stock runs out", at which point the next edition is printed? If the latter, might be good to note "Limited First Edition Stock" or some such to help motivate buyers. ^_^

"First printing" is what you're looking for. At the moment, all copies of the game are the first printing. We have not pulled the trigger on a second printing.

Whether Kickstarter, direct from Warehouse 23, or from a game store, the printings are identical at this moment.

Re: Purchasing a copy direct from SJGames?

Right, I had the semantics scrambled. Editions are typically for rule iteration changes, a la D&D. So these are still in the first printing cycle then, and thus can be expected to contain the goodies pegged to that run. Good deal.

A new option for those who have not yet picked up the Legacy Edition game: The Decks of Destiny project offers an "Everything" reward level that gets you caught up with the product line to date.
