The most deadly creature on Earth

Stats: ST 0 DX 10 IQ 1 MA 3

The most deadly killer of man on Earth tracks down humans by scent.

Roll 6/IQ to spot the ambush before it attacks. Subtract one die for each of Naturalist, Expert Naturalist, Alertness and Acute Hearing, but it will usually attack people in their sleep.

Most weapons are useless and bare handed attacks are at -7 DX to hit. (-4 for flying and another -3 for being a small evasive target.)

Habitat: Anywhere it can find standing water to breed in.

The direct effect of the attack is negligible. If heavily attacked roll 4/ST or suffer -1 DX for a day from itching.

Anybody stung needs to roll 4/ST or suffer a random disease: Roll 1 die.
  1. Malaria
  2. Yellow fever
  3. Dengue fever
  4. Zika fever
  5. Chikungunya
  6. Other, check Wikipedia for a list of "Mosquito-borne disease".

To make Mosquitoes really deadly have them spread AMIS

I thought mosquitoes operated on infrared -- which is why heat sources and smoke tend to baffle them.

And a prison guard I once knew would disagree with you; the deadliest creature on Earth is a prisoner with time on his hands... :-)
