At any rate, I backed at the $20 level to start.

Hoping to see this take off, indicating new customers buying the whole enchilada.

Let's hope. DFPRG had 1,587 backers. If all of those people go in for $20 on this project (no guarantee of that), that gets you to $31,740...which is $8,260 short of the $40,000 target). So we certainly want new blood!

It’s reality. If there’s not enough demand to meet the goal on Kickstarter, then we definitely know the demand isn’t there to make these products worth taking to the manufacturing stage.
