Strangling Cord of Eternal Friendship and No wei
 

I just had my first Munchkin fu game!
A player with Strangling Cord of Eternal Friendship played No wei from her hand and then we couldn't understand wether the ability from Strangling Cord of Eternal Friendship can still work even if no wei says you don't get any help from the items.

No Wei negates Item bonuses, but it doesn't say anything about abilities other than combat bonuses, so I'm ruling those would continue to function.

Thanks for answering! Though no wei as far as I remember writes items do not help you, fight using your levels only. Do not help you is pretty generic, which why I wondered about if its more broadly applicable.
