"This adventure is suitable for 5-7 starting characters, and might be completed by four 40-point characters."
I love the might! Haha! |
Re: New TFT Adventure - The Chaos Triads
FYI we have a W23 digital speculation thread where these items are guessed about and posted. If you have any rumors please post them over there (with source) and next year TFT should have its own category (same thread) along with GURPS.
Munchkin is not included since thats a physical product. |

Re: New TFT Adventure - The Chaos Triads
I just want to say that the critique of the module published over on the TFT Facebook page seems just flat out wrong to me. The figures look fine, and should print well. I'll admit that color would have been nice, but not for the Chaosstained characters; they're just fine. And frankly, I don't find $5.00 to be out of line for the adventure either.
Having read over the adventure, I think it will be a lot of fun to run people through, and has enough hanging threads that it would be easy to parley into a more complex series of adventures. In other words, I am pleasantly impressed by the quality of the effort, especially given the relatively short amount of time given to put it together. A+ on this one, folks. |
Re: New TFT Adventure - The Chaos Triads
It's groovy; I particularly like the quirky foes and Mcguffin-objects - it packs a lot of unexpected and creative things into a few pages.
I have no critiques to offer: it is obviously going to be fun to play, so I already know my money was well spent. But the unusual presentation of the map has me wondering what different map formats will emerge for TFT. This one approaches the dungeon map as a kind of 'lego' project to be assembled with subsets of the megahex tiles that will come with the game. That is a very cool approach, but of course at the 'gameyist' end of the gamist spectrum. I would guess others will approach this issue by creating more natural looking maps, and perhaps intermediate cases that superimpose megahex grids on natural maps. It will be interesting to see the ecosystem of approaches evolve as more materials get created. |
Re: New TFT Adventure - The Chaos Triads
I just purchased it, and after a quick scan I really like it, also I think it will play with Minifigs just fine
$5.00 is a terrific price for this sort of adventure My only regret is breaking my vow not to buy any more games or game accessories. |
