Nonstick Plate and Inhumane Society

Hello, there!

I have a rules question about the interaction of Nonstick plate and Inhumane Society

I have a nonstick plate which reduces all but 1 damage taken by 1 cost monsters, and I have Inhumane Society in play which reduces the gold cost of committed monsters by 1 gold.

Would a 2-cost monster that now costs 1 because of Inhumane Society have all but 1 of its combat damage prevented by Nonstick Plate?
