Are Giant clerics and wizards and so on a thing?

Are giants who are wizards, clerics and other "classes" a thing in D&D and other games?

As NPCs, sure, though the CR rules for it are kinda flaky (in 3/3.5e. 4e just invents stats, not sure what 5e does).

The orge magi are probably the most famous large than human spell casters

Yes, I was already familiar with ogre magi. I believe I first encountered them in Baldur's Gate back in 1998.

I wonder though about giant clerics and so on.

In 5e DnD some giant flavours have innate spells. They don't have PC classes though.

As Anthony noted, in D&D it depends on edition - before 3.X "monster races" didn't have class levels (and neither did most humans ... other playable species varied). In 3.X there were levels for everyone, sometimes levels in being your own species, sometimes in one or more classes. Didn't involved my self with 4 or 5 EDs.

D&D is the only class and level game that I'm really familiar with - although in my limited experience the Palladium fRPG does classes for monsters in the same erratic manner as it does everything else.

In other games classes and levels are often not a thing (GURPS, FATE, BRP ... and other, non fantasy systems) ...

Logically, in world building terms at least, there would seem to be no good reason for them not to be a thing unless that is very much baked into the assumptions of the setting.

Giants have beings who fill those roles but they aren’t statted out the way player characters are.

Of course, giant clerics and wizards are handled natively in GURPS.

Score one for the home team!

Certainly, folklore and myth gives giants those roles, but not stated in D&D terms. Older forms of D&D (think AD&D and earlier) had types like Witch Doctors, which had those roles or mixtures of them.

2nd ed. also had a supplement for Shamans. Very "spirit interaction" from what I remember rather than classic class rules.
