Can Undead Benefit From Healing Spells?

Can undead benefit from Healing Spells? I am specifically thinking of the spells Minor and Major Healing from GURPS Magic being used on skeletons and zombies. But what about liches or vampires?

If healing spells can be used, then it seems that the Unhealing disadvantage most undead have is bypassed. But if they cannot, then it seems that there is no way to repair your skeletal minions who have been damaged in a fight.

I realize that the lesser form of Unhealing allows healing under special conditions.

Or should a special Heal Undead spell be researched?

Thanks.

Making and Breaking spells like Repair seem to be more appropriate.

I would use a Necromantic college variant.

By RAW, nothing really seems to prevent it. Nothing wrong with cloning the various healing spells into the Necromancy college, changing the names, and saying they only work on undead, of course.

If the template has Unhealing, that does.

No it doesn't. Unhealing precludes natural healing and techniques that accelerate natural healing. It does not preclude all forms of being magically (or psionically) repaired.

As I said upthread, Making and Breaking spells that repair objects are more appropriate than Healing spells in most cases.

Necromantic spells would be still more appropriate than using a carpentery spell to fix a messed up vampire.

Absent the existence of any such spell.

I'd say that it strongly depends on the setting mythos. If undead are truly antithetical to life and life forces, then healing spells shouldn't work.
Just creating a version of the spells but under Necromancy seems simple. But I'm not super experienced with gurps Magic to know.
